Neil Devlin From the Colorado Dugout: Interview with 2022 Grad Nolan Daniels of Coronado HS
March 5, 2019
Coronado High School in Colorado Springs, named for Francisco Vasquez de Coronado, is the fourth-oldest secondary school in District 11, established in 1970. The Cougars also have considerable views of famed Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods.
With only nine Colorado team championships – most recently winning a class of boys golf in 2014 -- the Cougars, who also had Olympic Gold Medal wrestler Henry Cejudo for a couple of year, reside near the bottom of the state list, although that didn’t come close to stopping Nolan Daniels when it came time to pick a school for sports. He attends Colorado Springs Early Colleges and had the option of choosing one in the southern area.
