The Regular Season is wrapping up, teams are making a push for the playoffs.  Here is a look at action from around the state from this weekend.

Pine Creek (16-2) 6 Doherty (8-9) 1
Justin Olson (2018) had a home run, went 2 for 3, and scored 2 runs for Pine Creek. Jay Oaken (2018) and Brice Johnson combined on the mound for 11 strikeouts and just 1 earned run for Pine Creek.

Fairview (8-10) 9 Rocky Mountain (12-6) 1
Fairview scored 4 runs in the 5th and 5 runs in the top of the 7th to defeat the Lobos. The Knights were led by Nick Fano (2016) who was 2 for 5, scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The Knights were led on the mound by Matt Erickson (2017) who pitched 5.2 innings giving up just 2 hits and striking out 9 Lobos.

Cherokee Trail (13-4) 6 Smoky Hill (8-11) 1
With this win the Cougars are assured of a share of the Centennial League title. Nick Perez (2017) led the Cougars on offense by going 2 for 3, scoring 2 runs and 2 RBI’s, on the mound Connor Nantkes (2017) pitched 6 innings allowing 8 hits, with no earned runs and 8 K’s.

Pueblo West (15-4) 14 Pueblo Centennial (14-5) 8
Alan Garcia (2017) hit a home run, was 2 for 3 scoring 2 runs, and had 3 RBI’s to lead Pueblo West to a win on Saturday.

Prairie View (12-6) 3 Rangeview (11-7) 0
Prairie View scored all 3 runs in the top of the 1st, and then nothing but zeros from there on out. Pitcher Johnny Ramirez (2016) shut out Rangeview going the distance giving up only 5 hits and striking out 7 Raiders.
