Baseball is back here in Colorado. Games got started this weekend and have spilled over into week three of the season. Here is a rundown of action from around the state.
Tuesday March 22
Regis 13 (2-0) Cherry Creek 6 (4-1)
A game that saw six hit batters, 13 walks and six errors, ended with Regis on top 13 to 6. For two of the top teams in the state to play like that is very unusual but with the talent on both teams don’t count on them playing like that anymore.
Regis was led by Travis Marr and Bo Weiss on the bump, and then starter Travis Marr (Clemson bound) also hit a three-run home run in the first. Cherry Creek made a late push after trailing 7-1, but you can’t give up 21 free passes and expect to win.
