The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state.  While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

Here is a look at the action from around the state.

Horizon 7 Mountain Range 6
In a key league game on Saturday Horizon came out on top.  With the game tied at 4 a piece going into the top of the 7th inning, Horizon put up 3 runs, and then had to hold on has Mountain Range scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th.  Horizon’s 2019 Josh Moehlenpah went 1 for 2 with 2 RBI’s and 2019 J. Moehlenpah was 3 for 4, scored 2 runs and drove in 1 RBI.  For Mountain Range 2020 Tristan Wolf had a monster day going 3 for 4 with 4 RBI’s. 

Legacy 8 Rocky Mountain 3
In another big league contest, Rocky Mountain came up short.  Legacy exploded in the top of the 6th scoring 6 runs to blow the game wide open.  Legacy was led by 2020 Tyler Lyons who was 2 for 4 with 4 RBI’s.

Grandview 7 Eaglecrest 3
The Wolves stayed hot winning their 9th game in a row.  The Wolves put this one out of reach scoring 4 runs in the top of the 7th inning.  They were led by, 2021 Ty Chapman who was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s and a jack, and 2019 Jayden Martinez who was 4 for 4 with 1 RBI.

Legend 10 Heritage 5
Legend came out smoking on Saturday scoring 4 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning, and never looked back versus the Heritage Eagles.  Legend’s 2019 Oregon State commit Justin Boyd had a monster day at the plate, going yard one time, and was 1 for 3 with 5 RBI’s.  Also 2019 Jake Greiving was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.  Starting pitcher 2019 Mesa University commit Kian Manmano for Legend went 6.1 innings allowing just 7 hits, 4 earned runs, and 3 K’s.  For the Eagles 2019 Garden City CC commit  Mason Mitchell had a great day at the plate going 3 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.

Cherry Creek 12 Cherokee Trail 0
Cherry Creek came out smoking hot versus the Cougars on Saturday and just punished them.  The Bruins were led by, Naval Academy commit 2019 Nathan Mitchell who had a yard ball, was 3 for 4 with 3 RBI’s, he also pitched a great game with a no hitter and 6 strikeouts. 2020 University of Virginia commit Jack Moss was 2 for 4 with 4 RBI’s. 

Valor 2 Columbine 0
Valor scored a run in the bottom of the 3rd and another in the 6th, and held on to beat Columbine on Saturday.  Valor pitcher 2021 Radek Birkholz went 5.2 innings allowing just 1 hit to go along with 7 K’s.  At the plate for Valor 2019 Rafe Kinder was 1 for 3 with an RBI, and 2020 Jackson Yarborough was 1 for 3 with an RBI. 

Chatfield 7 Dakota Ridge 6
Dakota Ridge was up on Chatfield 5 to 2 after 4 innings, but then Chatfield’s bats came alive scoring 3 in the 5th and another 2 in the 6th, and hen held on to beat Dakota Ridge that put up a run in the top of the 7th. 2019 Northeastern CC commit Jack Kornegay, for Chatfield, was 1 for 1 with 2 RBI’s, and 2020 Jacob Roybal was 1 for 3 with an RBI.  For Dakota Ridge, 2019 Zach Parker had a great day at the plate going 3 for 4 with 2 RBI’s, and 2020 Jacob Diaz was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI’s. 

Fairview 2 Monarch 1
This game featured two outstanding pitching performances, for Fairview 2021 Greysen Carter went 6.1 innings allowing just 2 hits, 1 earned run and 9 strikeouts.  For Monarch 2019 Massachusetts-Boston commit Zach Given went 7 innings allowing 7 hits, 2 earned runs, and had 8 K’s.

Holy Family 3 Windsor 2
In a huge game on Saturday Holy Family answered the bell with 3 runs in the top of the 4th and that was all they would need, after Windsor scored their 2 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning.  For Holy Family 2019 Emmanual King was the hero going 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s by way of a long ball, and pitcher 2019 Colorado School of Mines commit Weston Siefken was outstanding throw a complete game allowing just 3 hits 1 earned run and 11 strikeouts.  For Windsor, 2019 Odessa JC commit Owen Lockner went 5.2 innings allowing just 3 runs and had 12 strikeouts.

Ralston Valley 7 Lakewood 3
Going into the bottom of the 4th, Ralston Valley was winning 3 to 1, but then got hot and scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning.  Ralston Valley’s 2019 Matt Phillips was 2 for 4 with 3 RBI’s, and 2019 Washburn University commit Otto Jones was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s coming by way of a yard ball.  For Lakewood 2019 Concordia University-St. Paul commit Brayden Roybal was 1 for 2 with 2 RBI’s.

Mullen 4 Smoky Hill 3
Mullen was leading the game 2 to 0 going into the top of the 5th inning, and Smoky Hill scored 2 to tie the game, but then in the bottom of the 6th Mullen was able to push a couple across and then hold on to win has Smoky Hill scored a run in the top of the 7th.  Mullen was led by, 2019 Garden City CC commit Brennen Nolte who was 2 for 3 with an RBI.  For Smoky Hill 2021 Preston Cooper had a huge day at the plate going 2 for 3 with 3 RBI’s and a jack.
