Scouting Report

4/03/19

 

Uncommitted. 6-foot-7, 190-pounds. Delivery repeats, smooth motion and mechanics to the plate. From balance he drives to the plate with an over the top arm slot and good extension out front on the pitch. He uses his 6-7 frame well to get the pitch on you in a hurry. Fastball sat 81-83 mph with late arm side run. Curve is thrown hard with tight spin and late 12/6 break and sat 71-74 mph. Change up was his best secondary pitch with near fastball arm speed. Pitch showed late sink in the zone and sat 73-74 mph. In this game he through 6 innings giving up one earned run, 5 hits while striking out 8 batters. Below is video of him pitching out of jam with runner on 3rd and one out. 

 

3/10/19

 

A 6-foot-7, 200-pound right hand pitcher with presence on the mound who has a smooth polished delivery. Stands tall and falls to the plate after balance. Arm is long and loose and delivery is over the top. Arm speed stays consistent on all pitches. Fastball was 81 MPH with late run. Curve topped out at 69 MPH with sharp 11/5 action. Change sat 69-70 MPH with late sink in the zone. Tall at the plate with an uphill swing path. Lift and place stride and small hand load. Showed gap to gap power and finishes high and on his front side.

6-foot-7, 190-pound Right Handed Pitcher. Delivery repeats, smooth motion and mechanics to the plate.  From balance he drives to the plate with an over the top arm slot and good extension out front on the pitch.  He uses his 6-7 frame well to get the pitch on you in a hurry.  Fastball sat 81-83 mph with late arm side run.  Curve is thrown hard with tight spin and late 12/6 break and sat 71-74 mph.  Change up was his best secondary pitch with near fastball arm speed.  Pitch showed late sink in the zone and sat 73-74 mph.  He added a 74 mph slider with backdoor action.
