The 5th annual Colorado Preseason All-State to be held at Grandview High School on 2-24-19 has quickly become the premier Preseason event in the state of Colorado. This event is held for the top 2019's-2020s throughout the state to kick off the Prep Baseball Report's spring high school baseball coverage. We will begin to spotlight each and every player in attendance. Today, we take a look at No. 92 ranked PBR CO 2020 uncommitted OF Matthew Gelwick of Chatfield HS. Scouting Report

10-17-17

5-foot-9, 145-pound right hand hitting OF/RHP who ran a 6.8 60.  At the plate he stands open with a long stride to come square.  Lower half is solid through the zone creating good pull side power.  Swing is long with extension out front.  Exit velocity was 85 MPH.  In the field he comes through the ball and stays square on his delivery.  Arm is accurate to the bag.  Arm velocity was 75 MPH.  On the mound he stands tall and gets balanced.  Strong lower leg drive to the plate and stays in-line on his delivery.  Arm speed stays consistent on all three pitches.  Delivery is from a high ¾ arm slot.  Fastball was 77 MPH with command down in the zone.  He added a 60 MPH Curve with sweeping 11/5 break and finished with a 65 MPH Change with late down movement.
