Cherry Creek 15 Rocky Mountain 8
In a matchup of two 5A power houses, the Cherry Creek Bruins had an impressive offensive day against the Rocky Mountain Lobos to come out 15-8. The Lobos struck first as leadoff hitter Jett Hoggat led the game off with a homerun to deep left center off starting Bruins pitcher Nate Mitchell, and would score another run in the inning with an RBI double by Cade Nelson. The Bruins would immediately answer scoring 5 in the bottom of the 1st, highlighted by a 3-run homerun Tyler Schultz. Mitchell would settle down over the next 3 innings as the Bruins built a 9-2 lead, highlighted by a 2-run homerun by Brennen Dorighi. Pitching a 3-hitter at the time, Mitchell would fall victim from some sloppy defense by the Bruins, as they made 4 errors in the top of the 4th to let the Lobos back in the game to cut the Bruins lead to 10-7. RHP Gabe Austin would come and pitch two scoreless innings striking out 4 giving up 1 hit, and Jake Lawrence would pitch a scoreless 7th to help secure the victory for the Bruins. For the Bruins Schultz would drive in 6 runs, and Dorighi was a double away from hitting for the cycle. Tanner O'Tremba would go 2-3 scoring 4 runs for the Bruins. Jett Hoggat led the Lobos going 3-4 with 2 RBI's.
Mountain Vista 14 Chatfield 1
The Golden Eagles keep rolling through the pre-season with Chatfield becoming their latest victim. Jack Liffrig of Mountain Vista tossed a dominating 3 hitter (one being an infield hit), striking out three and walking none. Mountain Vista used the long ball to put up crooked numbers in multiple innings. Sam Ireland had a 2 home run day including a grand slam and a 2 run shot giving him 6 RBI on the day. Zach Paschke added to the homerun total for the Eagles and finished the day 2-2 with 3 runs and 2 RBI. Elisandro Aragon also had a solo home run, a double and an rbi single
Rock Canyon 6 Poudre 2
The Jaguars are finishing their final tune up and getting ready for league and were led by Kevin Pipich who went 1-2 with 2 RBI and 1 double.
Rampart 18 Palmer Ridge 1
The Rams get the run rule victory and were led by Austin Brady who went 3-3 with 3 runs and 3 RBI and Hunter Felts who was 2-2 with 1 run and 3 RBI.
Fountain Fort Carson 12 Pomona 11
FFC gets one more run to put them over the top and were led by Joseph Flores who was 3-5 with 1 run and 5 RBI. He added 2 doubles at the plate in this game.
Castle View 14 Hinkley 1
The Sabercats stay in the win column and were led by Cole Rieber at the plate who went 3-4 with 3 runs and 2 doubles. Brandon Kemp took the ball for the Sabercats tossing a no hitter, going 5 innings giving up 1 run and striking out 7.
Palmer Ridge 9 Canon City 2
Gabe Halaby led the way for the bears going 2-4 with 2 runs and 2 RBI.
Cheyenne Mountain 12 Vista Ridge 2
Jack Denker led the way in the game going 3-3 at the plate with 1 run, 3 RBI and 2 doubles.
