District winners advance to the Final 8 beginning Friday May 18th.
5A District Roundup:
District 1
Mountain Vista 17 Mullen 2
The Golden Eagles get an easy first round win and were led by Sam Ireland who was 3-4 with 3 runs and 5 RBI while belting 2 home runs. Jack Liffrig took the mound and went 5 innings allowing 5 hits, 2 runs and collected 4 K’s.
Legend 8 Lakewood 5
The Titans advanced to the district final with this win and were led by Jake Greiving who was 2-3 with 1 run, 2 RBI and 1 home run. Brody McCord was on the bump and went 5 innings allowing 5 hits, 1 run and struck out 4.
Mountain Vista 10 Legend 5
In the Championship game, Dew Stahl, Grant Magill and Sam Ireland all had 2 RBI each. Ireland and Stahl added home runs for the Golden Eagles to help them advance to the Final 8.

District 2
Arapahoe 12 Prairie View 0
The Warriors took care of business in game 1 and were led by Brandon Dryer who went 3-3 with 2 runs and 3 RBI. Garrett DeClue was on the mound and went 5 innings and struck out 9.
Fort Collins 3 Douglas County 2
The second game of the day needed 10 innings to decide it. Fort Collins came out on top and saw Michael Field have a 3-5 day.
Arapahoe 5 Fort Collins 2
The Championship game saw Arapahoe in control all the way, Dryer picked up where he left off with a 3-4 night cap with 3 RBI and Tyler Banks go the distance allowing 6 hits, 1 ER and striking out 6.

District 3
Legacy 8 Highlands Ranch 2
The Lightning won their opening round game over the Falcons and were led by Ross Smith who was 2-4 with 1 run and 3 RBI. Ryan Overboe was dominate going 6.2 innings allowing 3 hits, 2 runs and struck out 13.
Rocky Mountain 11 Grandview 7
The Lobos found themselves in a familiar position winning their opening round district game. This game went back and forth for several innings before Rocky put away Grandview. Cade Nelson was 2-4 with 6 RBI in the victory.
Rocky Mountain 3 Legacy 0
The Lobos once again punch their ticket to the Final 8 with the win over Legacy. Jake Campbell was all Rocky needed, he gave them 7 innings, scattered 6 hits and struck out 3.

District 4
Fruita Monument 3 Castle View 0
The Wildcats played host to the Sabercats. Ben Derosiers took the mound for Castle View and threw well, he went 6 innings allowed 2 ER and struck out 7.
Cherokee Trail 5 Boulder 4
The Cougars travled west to Fruita and and got the opening round victory behind, Chris Rush and Kody Kellogg who had 2 RBI’s each.

In the Championship game, the Cougars came out of the gate hot and never looked back. Isaac Hayen was 2-4 with 3 runs, 2 RBI and 1 triple and Blake Mackintosh went 2-3 with 1 RBI and 1 triple.

District 5
Heritage 10 Dakota Ridge 0
The Eagles took care of Dakota in 6 in game one. Ryan Hutchinson was 2-3 with 2 RBI and 1 triple on the day. Riley Egloff and Jake Shope combined for 6 innings of work allowing 4 hits and struck out 8.
Chaparral 4 Columbine 3
In a game that was tight all the way through seeing the Wolverines pull ahead in the 6th, Chaparral advanced to the Championship game behind Bryce Matthews who was 1-2 with 1 run, 3 RBI and 1 home run. Luke Folsom had a solid day for the Rebels going 5 innings allowing 6 hits, 3 runs and struck out 7.
Heritage 9 Chaparral 4
Eric McKnight helped the Eagles advance to the Final 8 by going 4-4 with 2 runs, 3 RBI and 1 double.

District 6
Mountain Range 6 Lincoln 0
The Rangers got it done all day on the mound and it started with a performance from Mike Polson who went 7 innings, allowed 4 hits and struck out 1.
Ralston Valley 2 Loveland 0
The Mustangs outlasted Loveland to win 2-0 in 9 innings. Kegan Villareal stood tall for Loveland going 8.2 innings, scattering 3 hits, 2 runs and struck out 10 in the losing effort.
Mountain Range 2 Ralston Valley 0
Mountain Range punched their ticket to the Final 8 with another shutout victory. This time led by Brayden Brooks who went 7 innings allowing 1 hit and struck out 8 Mustangs.

District 7
Pine Creek 6 Regis Jesuit 4
In a game that saw Regis lead most of the way, Pine Creek roars back to win game one. They were led by Kyle Moran who notched 3 hits for the Eagles in this game.
ThunderRidge 17 Chatfield 2
The Grizzlies made quick work of Chatfield, Jake Porter was 2-5 at the plate with 5 RBI and 1 home run. Taylor White added a home run as well for TR. Cale Lansville got the ball in game one and went 5 innings allowing 7 hits, 1 ER and struck out 7.
Pine Creek 13 ThunderRidge 3
Pince Creek moves on to the Final 8 behind Evan Faucher who was 1-2 with 2 runs, 3 RBI and 1 double and Jay Onken who went 5 innings allowing 4 hits and struck out 12.

District 8
Cherry Creek 11 Broomfield 7
The Bruins won a back and forth game over Broomfield and were led by Nate Mitchell and Jack Moss who collected 2 RBI each in this game.
Rock Canyon 6 Monarch 4
In a game that lasted 13 innings, the Jaguars pulled out the victory. Garrison Nieman went 2-5 on the day with 2 RBI and 2 doubles.
Rock Canyon 5 Cherry Creek 4
The Jaguars defest Cherry Creek in a game that needed to be completed on Sunday. Justin Petterle went 1-4 with 1 run and 2 RBI in the winning effort. Nathan Mitchell was 1-2 with 1 run and 3 RBI and 1 home run for the Bruins.
