3A Final 8 Roundup

Friday May 20th and Saturday May 21st, the 8 remaining 3A teams took part in a double elimination tournament to crown the next State Champion. Here is a look at how the 4 remaining teams moved on to next weekend's semi-final and championship round.
Friday May 20th Butch Butler Field
Kent Denver 10 Eaton 7 (10:00)
The Sun Devils get the win and were led by Will McKissick who went 2-3 with 1 run and 2 RBI.
Faith Christian 5 Lamar 0 (12:30)
Austin Stone went the distance for Faith going all 7 innings allowing 3 hits, 0 runs and struck out 8.
Faith Christian 15 Ken Denver 5 (3:00)
Faith used 15 hits to put up 15 runs and were led by Sean Hyman who was 2-2 with 1 run and 4 RBI.
Faith Christian moves on to the State Championship play in game.
Friday May 20th Niwot High school
Manitou Springs 13 St Mary’s 4 (10:00)
Dominic Archuleta led the way in this game going 2-5 with 1 run and 4 RBI.
University 5 Valley 0 (12:30)
The Bulldogs used 6 hits to score 5 runs and took advantage of 4 Valley errors in this game.
Manitou Springs 10 University 9 (3:00)
Davyn Adamscheck had a big day at the plate going 4-4 with 2 runs and 3 RBI.
Manitou Springs moves on to the State Championship play in game.
Saturday May 21 Butch Butler Field
St Mary’s 7 Valley 2 (10:00)
TJ English led the way for St Mary’s going 3-4 with 3 RBI.
Kent Denver 14 St Mary’s 1 (12:30)
Parker Evans led the way for the Sun Devils going 3-4 with 1 run and 4 RBI.
Faith Christian 14 Manitou Springs 4 (3:00)
Adam Buchman had a big day for Faith going 3-4 with 1 run and 4 RBI.
*Faith Christian automatically moves on to 3A State Championship Game and has to be beat twice next weekend.
Saturday May 21 Frederick High School
Lamar 3 Eaton 1 (10:00)
Braden Forney took the mound for Lamar and went 7 innings giving up 4 hits, 1 run and struck out 7.
University 5 Lamar 4 (12:30)
The Bulldogs win a close game to advance to the semi-final round.
