The Colorado high school baseball season kicks off on March 7, opening day for regular season action under CHSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2024 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down through the official Prep Baseball Colorado Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

2024 SEASON OUTLOOK:

The Monarch baseball program is aiming to have a better than .500 season in 2024 and make the playoffs after building on the last few years. The Coyotes play in the 5A Front Range league which is always one of the toughest in Colorado, but they have some firepower heading into this spring. Senior Riley Hall hit .500 last year over the course of 81 plate appearances while junior pitcher Charlie Pearce has surged over this last summer and fall after a strong spring in 2023. Pearce is now a ‘23 Future Games alumni and has been ramping the fastball up to around 90 mph lately. This roster does have plenty of seniors who could help contribute this year as well, giving them ample opportunity for a successful 2024.
