2021 Future Games Spotlight: Cashel Dugger

The 2021 PBR Future Games has come and gone. The event featured the top uncommitted 2023 and 2024 players around the country representing their home state in front of over 350+ college coaches. Team Colorado had high energy and talented squad who showcased their abilities all week. Team Colorado went 3-0 with wins over PBR Select, Oklahoma and Utah. Just as impressive, was our players' individual GPA’s. Their futures are bright as the true definition of student-athletes.

Today, we highlight: Cashel Dugger
2023, Cashel Dugger, C, Valor Christian. Club organization is Colorado Yard Dawgs. Cashel continues his consistent path of development. Has made great strides in strength. As a left-handed hitting catcher, Cashel shows great balance with a direct path through hitting zone and extended follow-through. Blast Hand Speed of 25.30. Middle of the field approach. Exit velocity of 85. Impressed with Cashel’s development receiving and blocking. Pop time range 2.01-2.15. Additional coach on the field and in the dugout!

Hit: Slightly open stance to start with a small leg kick into a neutral landing position. finishes on his backside. Minimal hand movement on stride. Does a good job keeping his hands inside the ball allowing him to hit for average to the opposite side of the field. High one handed finish to create extension in his swing. Smooth left handed hitter who does a good job of working to opposite field. Will hit for average at all levels

Defense: (C) very smooth actions behind the plate, good footwork from the catching position. Does an excellent job receiving the ball and stealing strikes for pitcher. Catcher to follow. (2B)Smooth hands, short over the top arm action. Does a good job coming to the ball and using his legs to create momentum in coming to the ball. Showed the ability to go both ways in the infield
