LOS ANGELES, CALIF.Prep Baseball California is thrilled to announce the hiring of Hank LoForte as the Associate Director, Northern California. LoForte comes to Prep Baseball California with a lifetime of baseball experience both as a player and a coach.

After a standout career at Franklin High School in Elk Grove, LoForte was a four year starter at Cal State Fullerton where he helped lead the Titans to the 2017 College World Series and finished his career as the All-Time triples leader for the Titans. LoForte maintained a 64-game on-base streak over two seasons for the Titans and led the team with a .338 batting average and earned First Team All-Big West Conference honors in the 2018 season.

After his playing career LoForte jumped into coaching with stops at Cabrillo College and Fullerton College before moving back to Northern California where he’s been coaching travel baseball for various programs while doing private hitting lessons for the last five years and also working in sales.

Prep Baseball California State Director, Les Lukach, on LoForte:

“I couldn’t be more excited to bring someone of Hank’s reputation into our organization. Whether as a player or an up-and-coming coach, Hank has earned the respect of coaches and players alike across the state. I have no doubt that his relentless work ethic will serve the players of Northern California well for years to come as Hank has quickly become a very respected coach and evaluator in the region.”

ABOUT PREP BASEBALL

Since its inception in 2005, Prep Baseball has evolved into one of the country’s biggest and most respected independent scouting services, with a singular focus of providing comprehensive year-round coverage in every state we are in. The mission of Prep Baseball is to scout and promote amateur baseball - high school, junior college and college - and, ultimately, help athletes achieve their dreams of playing baseball at the next level. With more than 200 scouts, we have the largest baseball scouting infrastructure across all levels of amateur baseball in the country.

Prep Baseball is the No. 1 resource for amateur baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state.  While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

Prep Baseball has more full-time scouts than any other independent amateur scouting company in the country. Prep Baseball is currently in 41 states and Canada, each with a scouting director that focuses on the amateur talent in their respective territory. Prep Baseball's hyper-local focus is augmented by its national scouting staff that focuses on the top national prospects in all prep classes.

More than 800 colleges and pro teams subscribe to Prep Baseball services. We run hundreds of stratified levels of events across the country, headlined by the Prep Baseball All-American Game, Future Games and the Super 60 Pro Showcase.

We guarantee that we will work tirelessly to see as many players and provide coverage to all corners of the state. But we can't do it alone. We need your help. Email us your college commitments, relevant news, and top players in your area.

Send all relevant news to the state's respective scouting director listed on the staff directory page.
