Today, we put the spotlight on the number 112 ranked player in the 2026 class in SoCal '26 RHP/OF Jameson Berigan from Thousand Oaks High School. Berigan strikes a wiry athletic frame at 6'1 175 lbs. with room to add strength as he continues to mature to his athletic foundation. Berigan put together a strong showing in the spring high school season at Thousand Oaks on the mound which he backed up with a strong performance at the Future Games Tryout: VTA County on the mound and then took his profile up another level showing his 2-way potential at the CA State Games in August.

Berigan presents an intriguing 4-pitch arsenal on the mound with each of his 4 offerings showing a strong foundation at the present with an emerging feel for each pitch while still showing projection to continue adding life/feel for all of his offerings. With an athletic operation that moves down the mound with intent and quick arm which shows the potential to develop fast arm speed. Berigan shows a potential starters profile with his delivery and pitch mix and has a likely floor of a leverage reliever as his fallback on the mound. Berigan generally demonstrates the ability to maintain direction in the delivery by efficiently using his lower half and the ability to block his lead leg. During his outing at Future Games Tryout: VTA County/CA State Games he worked off a FB that sat at 85-88 while touching 89 MPH with an ability to ride the FB above barrels, 25.5" of IVB at peak while averaging 20.1" of IVB and spin the FB upwards of 2600 RPMs at the peak averaging right around 2400 RPMs. His quality present high spin ride FB leads his arsenal, but Berigan shows feel for a solid SLD that works at 76-79 reaching 80 MPH. The shape of his SLD is more of a short breaking SLD which can give it almost a cutter like shape at time that can still be polished to gain a consistent shape. Berigan has the feel for an intriguing 78-81 MPH CHG which he shows the feel to kill spin on while generating arm side fade to the movement profile giving him a pitch to run to the arm side. His fourth offering is a emerging CB which he throws in the 70-72 MPH range which is more of a soft cross count pitch that he will need to add spin/velocity to reach its potential, but he can throw it for strikes.

As good as Berigan's profile is on the mound he was impressive at the CA State Games showing off his RH hitting OF profile with athleticism. Jameson presents a versatile OF defensive profile with speed to potentially handle CF (6.91 60- 1.72 10 - 3.87 30 - 20.2 MPH max run speed) and the present arm strength with carry to his throws that would profile in RF reaching 90 MPH with ease.  Berigan takes an aggressive swing showing lift in his path and ability to stay behind the baseball at contact with feel for the barrel that shows well on Trackman with the data he generated at CA State Games. He collected a loud hit in game and barreled up another ball, but during BP he showed off his potential with a 95.3 MPH max EV, 83.1 MPH avg EV, 368' max distance, 71 % Fly Ball/Line Drive rate and 57% sweet spot rate. With the present quality foundation of his swing, athleticism in his profile, arm strength and feel to hit in game Berigan could handle a CF/RF defensive profile.

Berigan is preparing for his JR. campaign for the Thousand Oaks Lancer where he will look to build on a Soph. campaign where his primary focus was on the mound, but he should add impact to their lineup this spring. With his arrow pointed firmly pointed up on the profile for Berigan he is a name that people should be paying close attention to.
