Ventura, Calif. - The Uncommitted Spotlight Series continues as we have begun the 2024-2025 school year and the looming JR. High School baseball season for our '26 class. With than in mind Prep Baseball California will be highlighting some of the top uncommitted class of '26 athletes. The player featured today is one of the top players in the state of California and figures prominently in our Class of 2026 Rankings. All players featured within our Uncommitted Spotlight series are ones that college coaches and fans should be keeping their eyes on over the coming months.

We invite you to get to know them through the eyes of our Prep Baseball California staff of scouts both through our in person looks at players and/or the data-backed numbers collected at our events with our partnered companies. TrackMan, Blast Motion, and Swift Performance provide comparable data to project and evaluate players. All of these systems come together to give a clear picture at what colleges will get when a players steps onto their campus.

Today, we put the spotlight on the number 105 ranked player in the 2026 class in SoCal '26 OF Will Suslow from Harvard Westlake High School. With a athletic frame at 5'11 170 lbs. with some present strength in his lower half and wiry build to upper body. His athleticism is impressive and has run a 6.53 60 time with a 21 MPH max run speed, burst off the line with a 1.52 second 10 yard split to go with his 35.4" vertical jump. Suslow has performed well at a variety of Prep Baseball California events and in live game looks. He has demonstrated the potential to be a CF defender that goes with and intriguing RH hitting profile which flashes power.

During our Prep Baseball California events Suslow has shown consistently strong actions around the OF that gives him potential to man CF at the next level, but flashes potential to handle either OF corner especially as his arm strength continues rising now up to 83 MPH on his OF throws. While his potential to handle a premium defense spot like CF is intriguing and will give him strong consideration to be a college level player he shows interesting potential at the plate. His operation at the plate is quiet with a small front foot stride, minimal hand load while staying balanced through his turn and stays behind the baseball at contact. His Blast Motion swing metrics are solid across the board with hand speed (21.7 MPH) bat speed (67.8 MPH) and torque from his turn (15.1 G's of Rotational Acceleration). His quick compact swing, sound approach, feel for timing has shown well during batting practice by producing hard contact with a peak EV at 93.4 MPH with a 87.4 MPH average EV, and has shown a peak of 75% Sweet Spot rate out of swing that displays leverage through the zone producing a higher Fly ball/Line drive nearing 88%. His athleticism and sound swing project a potential that as Suslow continues to polish his approach to hitting there is a strong ceiling for what he can do at the plate.

As he prepares for his JR. campaign at the powerhouse Harvard Westlake Suslow figures to be in a strong spot to compete for a prominent role within their lineup as well as defensively on Southern California high school baseball scene especially within the uber competitive Mission League that will help to keep the up arrow signs for Suslow in the future.
