The players featured within our Uncommitted Spotlight series are ones that college coaches and fans should be keeping their eyes on over the coming months.

We invite you to get to know them through the eyes of our Prep Baseball California staff of scouts from their live looks at these players and for those who have attended Prep Baseball California events the data-backed numbers collected at our events with our partnered companies. TrackMan, Blast Motion, Swift Performance, and Visual Edge provide comparable data to project and evaluate players. All of these systems come together to give a clear picture at what colleges will get when a players steps onto their campus.

Today, we put the spotlight on a SoCal '25 INF Noah Stead from Westlake High School. With an athletic frame at 5'11 165 lbs. Stead shows athleticism in his actions across the board to go with a RH hitting offensive profile that has displayed the hit tool, approach, and consistent impact with his contact quality. During in game looks this spring for Prep Baseball California Central Coast/VTA County scout Steven Hardesty, Stead consistently barreled the baseball, put together quality at bats, and pull side impact and showed the actions in game to stay on the infield long term defensively with some polish he has the potential to be an impact defender up the middle. Stead had a strong spring beyond just the look from Hardesty that included a .310/.402/.586 slash line while collecting 3 doubles, 7 HRs, drew 13 walks driving in 27 runs while scoring 22 runs as one of the top performers in the Warriors lineup that claimed a Marmonte League title. He has sneaky power, flashes speed, plays solid defense and still shows potential to improve his solid overall skillset which makes Stead a name in the '25 class that is a must follow for college programs who has a chance to really raise his profile over the coming months headed into his SR. season after catching the eyes of Prep Baseball California staff.
