Today, we put the spotlight on a SoCal '25 3B Zachary Nagy from Royal High School. With a wiry athletic frame at 6'1 165 lbs. and flashing athleticism in his actions across the board Nagy has shown an impressive RH hitting offensive profile with hit tool, approach, and is beginning to flash more consistent impact with his contact quality. During mulitple in game looks this spring for Prep Baseball California Central Coast/VTA County scout Steven Hardesty, Nagy was able to consistently barrel the baseball, put together quality at bats, and pull side impact and showed the actions in game to stay on the left side of the infield long term defensively with some polish he has the potential to be an impact defender. Nagy had an outstanding spring beyond just the looks from Hardesty that included a .373/527/.607 slash line while collecting 11 doubles, 4 triples, drew 24 walks driving in 16 runs while scoring 23 runs and stole 12 bases hitting in the top portion of the Highlanders lineup. In addition to his athletic ability on the baseball diamond Nagy is a talented football player who plays QB which adds intrigue to his profile with his athleticism and upside. Nagy is a name in the '25 class that is a must follow for college programs who has a chance to really raise his profile over the coming months headed into his SR. season after catching the eyes of Prep Baseball California staff.
