The Uncommitted Spotlight Series continues as we wind down the '23 calendar and look towards the start of the '24 CIF High School baseball season by taking a look at some of the top uncommitted class of '24 athletes. This group of players is pulled directly from our '24 Rankings. They remain as the top players left on the board going into the start of their senior seasons.

All of these systems come together to give a clear picture at what colleges will get when a players steps onto their campus.

Today, we put the spotlight on SoCal '24 OF Ryan Silver out of Chaminade Prep HS.  A medium sized frame at 5'11 180 lbs. with present strength showing athleticism including a 6.73 60 time, 1.65 10 yard  and 86 MPH OF arm velo Silver's athletic ability can handle CF defensively or either corner OF spot. The toolset for Silver is highlighted by his ability at the plate with impact potential. The swing starts with a small load and quiet hands, but gets aggressive once he pulls the trigger to swing. Has fast hips (34.7 MPH rot. acceleration) in the turn with strong quick hands and the ability to lift the baseball consistently. Silver shows loud contact in BP with an average exit velocity at 88.9 MPH and up to 98.1 MPH on his max exit velocity. The ball carries well off his bat with a 377 max distance and projects to have HR power from the pull side to the middle of the field. His offensive profile will project at all 3 OF spots, but if he can stick defensively in CF it's a highly intriguing overall potential for him.
