The Uncommitted Spotlight Series continues as the calendar has turned over and the start of the '24 CIF High School baseball season is quickly approaching we are highlighting some of the top uncommitted class of '24 athletes. The players featured are pulled directly from our '24 Class Rankings and remain as the top players left on the board going into the start of their senior season.

We invite you to get to know them through the eyes of our PBR California staff of scouts and the data-backed numbers collected at our events with our partnered companies. TrackMan, Blast Motion, Swift Performance, and Visual Edge provide comparable data to project and evaluate players. All of these systems come together to give a clear picture at what colleges will get when a players steps onto their campus.

Today, we put the spotlight on a SoCal '24 INF Aaron Sambath out of Villa Park High School. With a compact frame and some present strength at 5'9 170 lbs. Sambath shows an impressive offensive profile. His swing stands out for how it grades out metrically with 32.4 G's of rotational acceleration and 24.7 MPH hand speed. With those impressive numbers comes a good feel for hitting from Sambath who stays balanced through the swing with good feel for how to use his hands to deliver the barrel. The path is flatter playing to consistent hard line drive plane with carry into the gaps. Sambath peaks at 90.2 MPH on exit velocity but averages 83.1 MPH which projects an ability to hit for average with extra base power. Defensively his hands are solid with good feet that show rhythm. The arm plays at 2B with 79 MPH INF arm velo and could handle 3B or LF. Sambath is also a pitcher who flashes a quick arm with some deception to the delivery that could be a bullpen depth piece at the next level. Carried by his strong offensive profile with defensive versatility should be a strong follow for 4-year coaches and JUCO coaches in the spring '24 season as an addition to their '24 recruiting class.

College coaches and fans be sure to click on Sambath's profile to see full video and statistics.
