The Uncommitted Spotlight Series continues as the calendar has turned over and the start of the '24 CIF High School baseball season is quickly approaching we are highlighting some of the top uncommitted class of '24 athletes. The players featured are pulled directly from our '24 Class Rankings and remain as the top players left on the board going into the start of their senior season.
We invite you to get to know them through the eyes of our PBR California staff of scouts and the data-backed numbers collected at our events with our partnered companies. TrackMan, Blast Motion, Swift Performance, and Visual Edge provide comparable data to project and evaluate players. All of these systems come together to give a clear picture at what colleges will get when a players steps onto their campus.
Today, we put the spotlight on a NorCal '24 3B/OF Makai Susuor from St. Ignatius College Prep. Standing 6' 185 lbs. with present strength across his frame Susor shows solid athletic ability including a 7.05 60 yard sprint time and 3.98 30 yard sprint time. He shows the actions with his hands and arm strength (85 MPH INF velocity) to remain at 3B at the next level, but should he need to move to the OF he will be able to slot in LF/RF. At the plate, Susor uses a balanced RH swing which features good use of his strong quick hands (21.0 MPH hand speed) to cover the plate with leverage and solid bat speed (73.7 MPH). There is a good feel for the barrel with an approach that shows well during game play. His frame combined with good swing mechanics helps him to tap into pull side power (98.6 MPH max exit velocity with a 93.9 MPH avg. exit velocity). Susor shows the potential to be a corner INF bat with impact should he stay on the dirt with average to fringe above average defensive ability. If he has to move to the OF his bat will play in either corner spot. Good late land for a 4-year college program and strong JUCO pickup.

Scouting Report
California State Games - Susor has long been a player we've known has big physical gilfts and tools. Raw has been a word applied to him going back to his freshman year when he was showing early intriguing velocity on the mound and power potential at the plate. Well, pitching is not in his profile but the arm strength plays across the diamond in an above average fashion. He showed athleticism and agility at the hot corner during the event, making difficult plays to his left. The bat has thunder in it, with a 97.1 max EV and 371' estimated distance ranking in the top 5, while hitting into some HARD outs during the event. Susor looks poised to breakout this spring.
