The Uncommitted Spotlight Series continues as we wind down the '23 calendar and look towards the start of the '24 CIF High School baseball season by taking a look at some of the top uncommitted class of '24 athletes. This group of players is pulled directly from our '24 Rankings. They remain as the top players left on the board going into the start of their senior seasons.
We invite you to get to know them through their data-backed numbers collected at our events with our partnered companies. TrackMan, Blast Motion, Swift Performance, and Visual Edge provide comparable data to project and evaluate players. All of these systems come together to give a clear picture of what colleges will get when a player steps onto their campus.
Today, we look at '24 1B/3B Justin Tillar who is ranked 90th in the '24 class from perenial power program Cypress High School. At 5'10 200 lbs with strength in his frame Tillar is a good LH bat with exit velocities up to 99.5 MPH and made appearances at the '23 SoCal Preseaon All State Upperclass and California State Games events. With a 7.32 60 time and 81 MPH IF arm velo there is a chance he can stick at 3B and will be able to handle 1B at the next level. For college programs still looking for LH hitting impact potential hitters Tillar should be one to follow.
