SAN DIEGO, CALIF. - We got to see some talented players at the San Diego Fall ID on Saturday, November 4. They ranged from seniors to freshmen with some names to look out for in the Spring of 2024. 

Players were put through the traditional showcase workout that included the 60-yard dash, Bullpens, BP, and a defensive workout using Trackman, Swift Technologies, and more to measure every movement for athletic proficiencies and projectability. 

This event, like other IDs, is aimed at identifying local talent by putting names to faces and data into profiles. Players who stand out at these events have the chance to earn their Future Games Tryouts invitations that ultimately culminate into a trip to LakePoint, Georgia for the 2024 Future Games.

Grant Voss OF / RHP / Liberty High, CA / 2024 Voss is an all-around athlete. He started the workout with a 6.96 60-yard dash and followed it up with the highest exit velocity at the event and 85 mph throws from the outfield. On his best swing of the day, Voss hit a ball 97 mph off the bat going for a distance of 366 ft. His Blast numbers back up this display, 24.3 max hand speed, and 78.7 max bat speed. On the mound, Voss showed off a fastball sitting just under 85 mph with some high upside in his slider, registering 2600+ spin multiple times. With an impressive showing at his first PBR event, Grant Voss is one to look out for as he enters his senior season.

Ian Brown OF / RHP / Redondo Union, CA / 2026 A '26, Ian Brown showed plenty of projectable skills on Saturday. Really good Blast numbers with the most glaring being his bat speed, registering at 79.7 mph. His top exit velocity was 92.8 mph which leaves him in a good place with a solid foundation for his sophomore season at Redondo Union.

Trenton Uyeda SS / 3B / Poway, CA / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 259 / POS: 63 Uyeda showed off blazing speed and maneuverability in his workout. A 6.75 60-yard dash and a strong defensive prowess leave Uyeda with some developed tools to continue to add onto. With a swing geared towards groundballs and line drives with exit velocities touching 90 mph, Uyeda can continue to add to his 6-foot frame during his junior year.

Evan Hall OF / RHP / SAN MARCOS H S, CA / 2025 Our first look at Evan Hall showed a balanced baseline for future growth. A low 7s 60-yard dash mixed with solid arm strength from the outfield, and exit velocity topping at 92.7 mph, Hall looks to be a well-balanced athlete who will continue to grow into his 6-foot frame during the next two years.

Jorge Cota 1B / 3B / Cetys, CA / 2025 Cota showed off some pop in his BP as well as great receiving skills at first base. 23.7 mph hand speed and 80.3 mph bat speed were the highlights of his BP rounds. A swing geared to line drives, Cota showed the ability to hit the ball hard anywhere on the field. This was a really good look at the '25 out of Cetys HS in Mexico.

Ryan Kehoe RHP / SS / Eleanor Roosevelt, CA / 2026 Kehoe showed off exceptional range and coordination in the field. He tossed 76 mph across the diamond but what really impressed was his ability to navigate and position himself for any ball hit his way. In his BP he showed off the ability to hit line drives gap-to-gap. This is all a strong foundation as he continues to grow and add mass to his frame.
