After seeing nearly 200 of the top players in the state of California across our SoCal Preseason All State Upper/Under class events and NorCal Preseason All State event we are taking a look a back at some of the top uncommitted players to know by position. 

Players at each event participated in a showcase-style workout with athletic testing, on field batting practice, defensive workouts, and bullpen sessions. During the workout portion of the event players had the opportunity to let their tools shine on video and build their database of metrics through Prep Baseball California's use of Swift Technologies, Blast Motion swing trackers, and Trackman technology for batted ball data and pitch tracking. While in our SoCal event the players competed in a controlled scrimmage with game play after the showcase workout.

We continue by looking at the standout uncommitted outfielders from the 3 events. The 10 names on this list (not in any order) represent some of the top names to know in the state of California.

Ian Brown OF / RHP / Redondo Union, CA / 2026 Corner OF profile who shows present average power with a good feel to hit and the arm strength to project to play RF. Strength in the frame.

Camden Goetz OF / RHP / Canyon, CA / 2026 LH hitter who shows above average power potential with a feel for his barrel. Projects to stick in an OF corner and be a potential middle to top of the order LH bat.

Royce McKenzie OF / OF / St. Bernard Catholic, CA / 2026 Well rounded compact framed OF who shows CF defensive potential with an advanced feel for his barrel and a good approach. Potential top of the order offensive profile with premium defensive potential.

Sei Nagashima OF / 2B / Palos Verdes Peninsula High, CA / 2026 Flashes a corner OF profile with the athletic ability and arm strength to potentially slide into RF. Clean swing with gap to gap approach and sneaky power.

Diezel Hernandez OF / RHP / Cathedral Catholic, CA / 2025 Physical offensive profile who shows above average present power with plus potential, a feel for his barrel and a good approach at the plate. Has the athletic ability to play a corner spot with potential to handle RF. Projects middle of the order offensive potential.

Taison Miller OF / Millikan, CA / 2025 LH hitter with impact potential speed who shows a slashing approach with ability to impact the game on the bases. Moves well with the arm strength to project in CF long term.

Logan Christianson OF / RHP / Homestead, CA / 2025 Good frame with the actions and arm strength to handle RF while showing impact in his offensive profile with potential above average power to slot into the middle of a lineup.

Kaden Paris OF / OF / Freedom High, CA / 2027 Advanced prospect for the '27 class who has present tools with projection to his overall game. There is 3 position OF potential with a bat that projects to have above average power with feel to hit.

Jace Wooley SS / OF / Cardinal Newman, CA / 2027 Loud present arm strength with the actions and athletic ability to profile as a potential RF defender who can be an impact defender. Shows pull side power with good strength in his swing presently. Potential impact offensive ability.

Jake Burton OF / 3B / Valley Christian, CA / 2024 Well rounded prospect who can handle an OF corner with the arm strength to potentially play RF while showing a good swing at the plane with ability to drive the baseball to the middle/pull side of the field.
