NorCal Uncommitted Games: TrackMan Hitting Leaderboards

Matt Monk

HAYWARD, CALIF. - Players gathered at Chabot College for the annual Uncommitted Games on Sunday, October 8. We got to see plenty of action including multiple big flies and quick risers show out. Players participated in both a pro-style workout and a game portion to test their meddle against the top uncommitted competition.

For all the data and information on all of the players outside of the leaderboards click here.

Prep Baseball Report events across the country have been powered by TrackMan’s industry-leading Portable system to capture pinpoint accurate, actionable data from player performances. Prep Baseball Report and Trackman are dedicated to recognizing talent and unleashing their potential.

All hitters had a chance to be evaluated through our portable Trackman unit. Each player received a round of on-the-field BP where they were measured in key ball flight metrics. We were able to collect key ball flight metrics such as exit velocity, distance, launch angles, spray charts and much more.

PBR was able to collect data on many uncommitted players around the states that is sharable with coaches & scouts as well as help players identify areas of development for the future.

Our team measures the statistics below using a portable TrackMan unit and Blast Motion's Swing Analyzers that attach to the knob of the bat.

Max Exit Velocity

The velocity of the ball as soon as it releases from contact with the bat as measured using the Trackman B1 Unit.

Average Exit Velocity

The average exit velocity throughout a batter's BP. This metric is used to show how consistently a player is making high EV contact

Peak Distance

This metric measures the farthest ball a player hit calculated using the Trackman B1 Unit.
