New Episode LIVE now! At The Yard Podcast

LOS ANGELES, CALIF.  With another full and busy fall seeing our staff running multiple events and attending even more fall ball games, we were able to see many players in Prep Baseball tournaments, showcases, game-play events, workouts and more giving us a deeper feel for the Class of 2025 in California.  As a result of all the visibility to players in the last couple of months we have updated our Class of 2025 Player Rankings.

As we are fully into the 2024 spring which has seen our staff running multiple events, attending even more winter ball games, and the start of CIF High School season we were able to get eyes on numerous players. The opportunities to get live looks at the continued development of players in the 2025 class we are gaining a stronger feel for the Class of 2025 in California.  Through all the visibility for players to be seen by our staff in the last couple of months, we have updated our Class of 2025 Player Rankings.

We have maintained the rankings at 325 players but there were changes - some small and some large - to the overall makeup of the 2025 class. Some players are on a very fast rise up the rankings and look to carry that progress throughout the high school season for their schools in advance of the 2024 summer circuit.

This class is now less than two years away from any MLB Draft consideration, and while several players are already firmly entrenched in the minds of scouts, some new faces are beginning to make themselves known.

Below you'll find the Top 10, Top 10 Uncommitted Players, along with notes/video on Rankings Risers and Ranking Newcomers.

CLASS OF 2025 RANKINGS RISERS

+ OF/RHP Vaughn Coleman San Dimas (ASU Commit) (Now Ranked: 66) Coleman has started the year on fire for San Dimas High School. The future Sun Devil has been driving the baseball to all parts of the park showing off his high offensive potential. Plus the dynamic athlete is playing lights out defense. The arrow is pointed up for him as he continues to rise up the '25 rankings and continuing a strong spring could put him in the mix for another rise in the next update.
+ LHP Joey Lorenzini Rocklin (Now Ranked: 68) The physical NorCal lefthander has started his year with a pair of a very good outings. His FB has been in the upper 80's consistently while touching 90. Adds in a low 80's SLD and a low 80's CHG which he is showing good feel for both pitches. Working in shorter stints presently as he ramps up for the rest of the spring, but as he continues to trend up with his performance on the field there is a chance for Lorenzini to make another rise up the rankings coming the next update with his arrow pointed up.
+ INF John Short Cypress (Now Ranked: 102) Short has started the year hot for Cypress including swinging the bat very well during the Prep Baseball California Spring Invitational. Currently hitting nearly .400 for the Centurions facing a very difficult schedule and several D1 committed arms/MLB draft hopefuls. Short is driving the baseball with authority and has a very strong offensive profile with the ability to stick on the infield dirt. Keep your eyes on this name for another potential rise in the rankings in the next update.
+ INF Isaiah Reveron Apple Valley (Now Ranked: 107) Reveron was electric at the plate during his appearance at the SoCal Preseason All State Upperclasss where he launched baseballs to the pull side consistently during BP and showed impressive at bats in the game. He flashed his athleticism during the defensive workout that projects potentially above average defensive ability on the left side of the dirt. Reveron is starting the spring with a strong performance and has even toed the rubber with impressive results adding another solid skill set to his overall package of tools. He is putting himself in place for a rise into the Top 100 potentially with a continued strong spring performance.
+ RHP Ben Dominguez Servite (Now Ranked: 165) Servite is off to a very good start on the spring campaign and Dominguez has been a big part of their success. The highly projectable 6'7 Right hander is throwing the ball well with his FB working in the upper 80's consistently and touching the 90's with life while spinning a very good SLD. As his stuff continues to trend up combined with his performances in game Dominguez is seeing his stock continue to rise in the '25 class. Keep your eyes on him as he has a good chance to make another jump come the next update with a strong finish to his spring in the Trinity League.
+ C Daniel Troncale Servite (Now Ranked: 195)
Troncale was a standout at the Preseason All State Upperclass event where the backstop showed off his strong defensive ability including a 76 MPH C arm velocity and pop times in the sub 2.0 range (1.94 low time) and a smooth glove handling some very talented '24/'25 arms. A solid catch/throw receiver is only part of Troncale's intrigue as he has a very good RH swing which grades out well with swing metrics including impressive torque at 30.7 G's of rotational acceleration and 25.4 MPH hand speed while flashing his feel for the barrel and middle to pull side approach with 93.1 MPH max exit velocity and an avg exit velocity at 87.1 MPH. Troncale will be a key piece of the Servite Friars success this year in the rugged Trinity League and his arrow continues to point upward as a '25 recruit.

CLASS OF 2025 RANKINGS NEWCOMERS

+ INF Jaeden Toki Etiwanda (LBSU Commit) Ranked: 123 Toki put on an outstanding offensive performance at the Prep Baseball California Spring Invitational with multiple extra base hits, barrels and consistent high quality at bats while playing a stellar 3B for Etiwanda. The future Long Beach State Dirtbag infielder looks the part of a potential impact offensive piece in the Big West and enters the rankings for the '25 class just oustide the Top 100, but a strong spring/summer could see another jump in the future for Toki who has Top 100 potential. He is a name to keep an eye on in the '25 class.

+ OF/RHP Noah Jaquez Valencia Ranked: 205 Jaquez has stood out in multiple looks for Prep Baseball California staff from winter ball showings both at the plate and on the mound and then during the start of the CIF-Southern Section high school season.  An athletic 6'3 frame with projections to add strength to go with his loose RH swing that shows lift with feel to hit and the actions/arm strength to be a future RF defender who can hit in the middle to top of a lineup. Not just an offensive weapon Jaquez shows a mid 80's FB with room to add velocity from a long loose arm action while spinning a good CB which can flash power to its break and feel for a CHG. The overall collection of potential as a position player or pitcher or both has put Jaquez on the Prep Baseball California radar and he has a chance to continue raising his profile.

+ RHP/OF Max Reimers J Serra Ranked: 218 Reimers parlayed a very strong showing at the OC Preseason ID where he showed his solid OF ability and RH hitting profile. But, it was the work he did during his bullpen session that really pushed him into the rankings. Showing a mid to upper 80's FB with life out of the hand, plus a pair of devastating offspeed offerings in his CB/SPLT combo that both show late sharp action with swing/miss potential. He adds feel for a quality CHG and with a quick arm action and intent to his delivery Reimers is catching eyes quickly and the arrow is pointed up for him as he continues to develop and improve.

+ OF Jackson Norum La Jolla Country Day Ranked: 256 The San Diego RH hitting OF checks into the rankings for the first time after a strong start to his junior season for La Jolla Country Day. He shows bat speed with a good feel for his barrel and has a chance to hit at a high level. Norum will be one to keep eyes on over the spring/summer with the potential to keep rising his stock.
