Unsigned '19 Spotlight: RHP Andrew Meyer, Berean Christian HS
October 1, 2018
As the National Letter of Intent period approaches, there are many talented players who have yet to receive an opportunity at D1 level. Some are just waiting for the right opportunity, some are viewed as possible late signing period players, some are just not known as well or haven't been seen as often. Each player finds himself in a different situation. Some are pondering offers and have not yet announced a commitment.
Having run numerous events and attended numerous tournaments officially scouted by us here at PBR, we have seen dozens of these players. So, if you are a college and still in the market for a right-handed pitcher, I suggest you look into 2019 RHP Andrew Meyer of Berean Christian HS in Walnut Creek (CA).

Scouting Report
6/1/18 @ BAWS 2018 - Long lean build utilizing high front shoulder and getting deception from high front elbow. Added deception from high front knee while arms stay wide and hands stay at the chest; mid-3/4 release point. Fastball 83-86 mph, with small arm side sink and occasional cut going to glove side. Change-up 70-76 mph, with good arm action off fastball release and similar tunnel as fastball. Slider 69-75 mph with small tight spin; times where pitch would flatten out if he got under it a little but, but best when got his fingers to the front of the ball, resulting in late small drop to the glove side. Pitch plays up because of deception and ability to locate fastball. Good stuff, good feel, good body, easy arm action, very favorable projectability, both body and stuff.
