ARLINGTON, TX - Some of the top 2019 graduates from Texas and California met at Globe Life Park for the inaugural States Play series hosted by USA Baseball and Major League Baseball. Texas took the 9-6 victory over California on Friday evening. Here are just a few highlights, scout notes and video from yesterday’s game. 

RHP Will Swope (The Woodlands HS, TX) put up four crucial zero’s for Texas, while tallying eight punchouts. At 6-foot-2, 205-pounds, the Texas commit has a strong, athletic frame. Working from a ¾ slot, the right-handers fastball touched 92, sitting mostly 90-91 for the duration of the four innings.
