SoCal Player of the Week: Mikey DeHaro

2020 RHP Mikey DeHaro of La Mirada HS has been named the PBR California SoCal Player of the Week for April 15-21 for his performance on the field for the Matadores.

The Long Beach State commit threw a no-hitter against Norwalk last week in the final game of Suburban League play as La Mirada clinched yet another title. The junior righty faced three over the minimum and struck out 13 while walking three. He also chipped in a two RBI hit and eventually scored a run.

For the season DeHaro is 5-0 with a 0.20 ERA (one of three Matadores pitchers with a sub 1.00 ERA) in nine starts. In 34.2 innings pitched, he’s struck out 52 while walking 5 and allowing only one earned run. He’s held opponents to a .173 on-base percentage.
