St. Mary's College, Moraga, CA - Select players from the 2020-2023 classes were invited to the event taking part in the pro-style workout with PBR scouts on hand to evaluate players and record their stats while going through the workout. It was a deep group of talent with lots of players showcasing tools that should push them to the next level. Today we put the focus on the Pitchers.

PITCHERS:

2020 RHP Treven Crowley (Hilmar) - 6-1, 165, L/R, Fresno State Commit
FB 87-89 T90, CB 70, SLD 71-73, CHG 76-78
Simple delivery with deliberate high front leg lift keeping hands around the waist and allowing for momentum shift down the hill from back leg; controls momentum down the hill and lands consistently inline with firm lead leg allowing athletic hips to work fluidly. Live arm from compact H-3/4 release; consistency in release point allows all pitches to play up and create tough ability for hitter to pick up pitches early. FB with strong arm side run; used on both sides of the plate building velocity up as bullpen went before finishing last few with consistent 90 MPH life at the plate. CB with 12/5 shape flashing as a plus pitch with late bite; pitch had off the table actions. SLD with more 3/4 break, but similarly to CB had late bite staying hard and tight through the zone; excellent feel of both breaking balls. CHG arm side heaviness; didn’t have the regular command of the pitch but flashes enough to be a consistent 3rd-to-4th pitch. One of the top pitchers in 2020 class here in Northern California.
