LONG BEACH, CA – Last week, Moorpark cashed in two early runs in the top of the first and held on for the non-conference victory 2-1 over the Vikings of Long Beach City College. on Tuesday. The Raiders move closer to .500, sitting at (6-8) overall.  Freshman RHP Caden Gustafson (2-2) worked seven solid innings for the Raiders gathering the win, giving up one run on six hits, striking out three.

The Vikings drop to (6-8) overall with this loss.  Freshman LHP Sebastian Irwin (1-1) took home his first loss on the mound hurling six innings, allowing two runs on five hits, while striking out two. Both teams start their conference schedules soon. LBCC will take on Pasadena City College in a South Coast Conference matchup this Friday, while Moorpark host Oxnard College next week in the Western State North Conference.
