Game Notes (CA): #5 Jesuit at #7 De La Salle

Blaine Clemmens
Northern California Director of Scouting

CONCORD, CA - The season opening game on Monday March 12th didn't go quite as well as Jesuit had hoped. Wow, that is an understatement. In what ended up being a 17-0 whitewashing, the #5 ranked Marauders were taken apart by the #7 De La Salle Spartans. Now, facing 2020 LHP Kyle Harrison is a tough way to start a season for any team and he threw very well. There were also some very strong DLS offensive games from 2021 RF Blake Burke and 2019 3B Chris Santiago, but frankly, an awful lot of the Spartan production came from Jesuit miscues and generally sub-par play.

Two of the top 2020 players squared off in this one, the aforementioned Kyle Harrison and catcher Daniel Susac of Jesuit. They will both be at the Northern California ProCase on June 9th. Here is a little glimpse of their first match-up in this game... subscribers will get to see the result of the at-bat as well as reports/video/notes on 12 players in total (Pilchard, Santiago, Burke, Benbrook, Amigh, Coloma and others).
