Shortstop Emilio Rosas, A 4-year varsity letter winner with a career .362 BA, in 327 plate appearances, with 106 hits, 24 doubles, 5 HR's, 49 RBI's, and a .401 OBP, had a stellar 4-year career to say the least. Rosas struck out 28 times in his high school career, that's only an 11.6% strikeout rate; this equates to putting the ball in play, and striking out about 50% less than the MLB rate of 22.3% in 2018.

Rosas has exhibited professionalism all year despite the circumstances of his team's situation and always displayed a calm demeanor; nothing seems too big for him and he always appears to be in control no matter what the situation. He is a big game player and had some of his finest performances against the stingiest competition at events like the NHSI, The Boras Classic, and the Area Code Games.

Initially committed to Cal Berkeley, but because of a coaching change at Cal, Rosas decided to stay close to home and attend the University of Southern California. If Rosas chooses not to sign, the Trojans are getting the smoothest fielding shortstop in the 2018 class.
