Holiday Hitters - Victoria/North Vancouver: Hitting Data Dive

This past Wednesday and Thursday, the Prep Baseball BC staff hosted it's part in Prep Baseball Canada's Holiday Hitters Series with the Hitters-Only Showcases in Victoria (Harbourcats Player Club) and North Vancouver (Inside Performance). These two events featured roughly 38 players from both the Island and the Mainland in the 2024 - 2028 classes and allowed our staff an opportunity to get an in-depth look at how players are progressing this winter as players received several extended rounds of BP utilizing our TrackMan and Blast Motion sensors for the complete breakdown and metrics.

Exit Velocity: This metric measures the speed of the ball, measured in miles per hour, as it comes off the bat at the moment of contact.

Sweet Spot percentage: This metric is determined by how often the player produces a batted ball during the session with a launch angle between 8 to 32 degrees.
