January 10, 2022 PBR B.C. Staff PBR British Columbia
Scouting Report
Background: Hall is from the Island in British Columbia, playing his local ball for the Victoria Eagles. The right-handed hitting shortstop has always had athletic attributes and someone who early on, you could see the actions were going to play, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Hall has young features and has lots of room to add strength gains to his 5-foot-11, 165-pound frame. This past summer, Hall made his debut with the junior National Team and immediately was someone who looked like he would man the six hole on the roster. That he did until dead arm forced him out in the series vs. USA in Florida. He looked recovered in Dunedin and expect for Hall to be ready to go early in 2022.
Future: The defense is going to play with Hall as the athleticism stands out and can make routine and highlight plays with tempo and confidence. The bat, like most amateur athletes will be the question but Hall shows bat to ball skills and will have some sneaky power that works to his pull side. Strength is a big part to his game and once he adds more, we can really envision him taking off and making big strides and start to really impact the ball offensively. Expect to see a lot of Hall with the National team this year and be someone who is relied on to make plays on the left side while contributing to the offensive side when he has the opportunity too.
