On Wednesday, November 6th, Prep Baseball Report Arizona hosted the Phoenix Fall ID at Apollo High School in, Phoenix AZ. The ID events are an open event held for prospects in the 2028-2025 classes in the state of Arizona, giving the players the chance to showcase their skills in front of the PBR Arizona Staff using state-of-the-art technology on field.

Sawyer Palevsky C / RHP / Basha, AZ / 2026Sawyer Palevsky, a 2026 right-handed pitcher and catcher from Basha High School, impressed at the Phoenix Fall ID, particularly on the mound. During the positional and BP portions, Palevsky showcased solid mechanics and strength, but he truly stood out when pitching. With a well-rounded 4-pitch mix, he commanded the zone with consistent strikes across all offerings. His short, over-the-top arm action gave his fastball life, topping out at 86 mph despite the cold weather. His slider and curveball both displayed impressive spin rates over 2500, while his changeup added depth, surely will keep hitters off balance. Palevsky’s strong arsenal and ability to locate each pitch make him a high-potential prospect to watch this spring at Basha.

Quinton Griffin OF / OF / Corona Del Sol, AZ / 2027Quinton Griffin, a 2027 outfielder from Corona Del Sol High School, stood out among his class at the Phoenix Fall ID, showcasing notable power potential and athleticism. Griffin posted a 97.3 mph exit velocity during BP, demonstrating his ability to drive the ball with authority. Additionally, his sub-7-second 60-yard dash highlighted his quickness and athleticism. With added arm strength and continued physical development, Griffin projects as a high-follow prospect in Arizona’s 2027 class.

Mayco Morales SS / 2B / Buckeye Union, AZ / 2026Mayco Morales, a 2026 grad from Buckeye Union High School, impressed with his defensive and offensive skills at the event. In the field, Morales showed a confident glove, repeatedly finding the pocket with ease and demonstrating solid fundamentals. At the plate, he stood out even more, using a tall stance, leg lift load, and flat bat path to generate consistent line drives up the middle. Morales’ ability to make solid, repeatable contact showcased his offensive potential and makes him a player to watch in the 2026 class.

Colton Champion OF / 3B / Prescott, AZ / 2025Colton Champion, a 2025 outfielder from Prescott, AZ, continued to solidify his status as a top follow for the Arizona staff at Wednesday night's Phoenix Fall ID. Champion showcased clean, efficient glove work in the outfield paired with a strong 85 mph arm. Offensively, he impressed with a balanced approach, maintaining direction to the big part of the field and producing consistent hard contact with a long, powerful path through the zone. His 6.92 60-yard dash translated well to his defensive range, making him a well-rounded and athletic prospect in the 2025 class.

EJ Lord OF / 3B / Notre Dame Prep, AZ / 2028EJ Lord, a 2028 grad and versatile corner infielder and outfielder from Notre Dame Prep, made a strong impression in Wednesday night's workout. The left-handed hitter displayed an advanced approach at the plate, showing maturity beyond his years with a smooth, flat bat path. Lord consistently produced hard contact, with much of his power favoring the pull side. As he starts his high school career, his poised presence in the box and promising offensive potential make him a player to watch in the 2028 class.
