Prep Baseball Arizona: Player of the Week (April 15-21)

The Prep Baseball Arizona High School Player of the Week highlights the best performance for an Arizona High School positional player from the previous week. Each week, High School coaches are emailed and asked to send in their nominees for Pitcher and Player of the Week, along with our scouting staff attending games and scouring box scores throughout the week. If you wish to nominate someone for Player or Pitcher of the Week, please email Arizona Scouting Director, Shea Sbranti.
To begin each week, Prep Baseball Arizona will announce it's Player of the Week, alongside our Power 25 Rankings Update, from the previous Monday-Sunday games.
'24 RHP Ryan Dilger (Desert Ridge HS) takes home this week's Player of the Week honors following his six dominant innings against Gilbert on Tuesday as he punched out 13 hitters.

2024 RHP Ryan Dilger (Chandler-Gilbert CC commit) got the start for Desert Ridge last Tuesday and dominated once again, racking up double-digit strikeouts for the second straight game as he sat down 13 Gilbert hitters over six innings. In the 3-1 victory, the right-hander allowed just one run, five hits and two walks. In Dilger's past two starts, he's struck out 25 hitters to just four walks over 12.2 innings. Last week, Desert Ridge went 2-0 with wins over Gilbert and Desert Vista, before dropping one to Desert Vista yesterday in their final game of the regular season.
