On Sunday, October 27th, Prep Baseball Report Arizona hosted the Marucci Athletics/Sting/MLU Scout Day at the Willow Canyon High School in, Surprise AZ. The Scout Day events are a private event held for prospects in the 2029-2025 classes from the designated program the state of Arizona, giving the players the chance to showcase their skills in front of the PBR Arizona Staff using state-of-the-art technology on field.

Cameron Davidson SS / 2B / Willow Canyon, AZ / 2026

Cam Davidson, an infielder from Willow Canyon High School, made a significant impression at last weekend's scout day, setting multiple high marks across key metrics. Davidson, an uncommitted junior, posted a standout 101 mph exit velocity, an 89 mph infield arm, and clocked a 6.7 in the 60-yard dash. Known for his quick, flat bat path, Davidson showcases a balanced approach at the plate, working heavily into his back leg to generate power. He consistently drives the ball to the big part of the field, with most of his power working to the pull side. His blend of speed, arm strength, and raw power makes him an exciting prospect to watch.

 

 

Troy Tewers 3B / RHP / Liberty, AZ / 2028

Freshman Troy Tewers from Liberty High School turned heads at this weekend's scout day, emerging as one of the top defensive talents for his age in Arizona. Tewers boasts a strong, tall frame paired with a smooth glove that makes him a natural in the field, reinforcing his reputation as a standout defender. At the plate, Tewers has a quick, aggressive swing path that generated an impressive 93 mph exit velocity with natural loft, hinting at his power potential. He also made a significant impact this summer at the Junior Future Games, where he further showcased his high-level skill set. As a member of the 2028 class, Tewers is undoubtedly a high-follow prospect with a promising future ahead.

 

 

Jonah Hargrave SS / 2B / Liberty, AZ / 2029

Jonah Hargrave, a middle infielder slated to join Liberty High School in fall 2025, showcased strong foundational skills and athletic promise. In the field, Hargrave displayed confidence with smooth actions up the middle and a 73 mph arm across the infield, hinting at his potential as a dynamic defender. At the plate, he brings a wide stance and a toe lift load, with a flat-to-slightly-uphill path that allows him to work the majority of his contact to the pull side effectively. His max exit velocity of 87.4 mph shows emerging power and a solid foundation to build upon as he develops in high school. Hargrave’s athleticism and skill set make him an exciting prospect to watch in the coming years.

 

 

Jameson Mohler C / OF / Sandra Day O'Connor High School, AZ / 2028

Jameson Mohler, a versatile catcher and outfielder from SD O'Connor High School in the 2028 class, impressed on both offense and defense during Sunday’s workout, particularly behind the plate. Mohler demonstrated a standout arm for his age, clocking in at 75 mph on throws with an efficient pop time ranging from 1.97 to 2.25. At the plate, he shows an easy right-handed swing with a smooth approach, consistently driving low line drives to the big part of the field during BP sessions. With his balanced skill set and defensive strengths, Mohler is poised to be a top prospect to follow in his class.

 

 

McGuire Ryan OF / 3B / Casteel High School, AZ / 2028

McGuire Ryan, a 2028 outfielder and corner infielder from Casteel High School, continues to impress with his athletic frame and natural power at the plate. Ryan consistently demonstrates a mature approach during BP, focusing on balanced, hard contact to all fields. His easy power and advanced feel for hitting make him stand out among his peers, showcasing his potential as a high-impact bat in the lineup. With his consistent performance and well-rounded skill set, Ryan is shaping up to be a high-follow prospect in Arizona's 2028 class.

 

 

Gunnar Thomas 3B / RHP / Sunrise Mountain, AZ / 2025

Gunnar Thomas, a 2025 third baseman and right-handed pitcher from Sunrise Mountain High School, showcased his physicality and power potential at the plate, standing out with mature, impactful rounds of BP. With a wide stance and quick toe-lift load, Thomas brings consistent strength to his swings, producing a max exit velocity of 93.2 mph and driving balls up to 359 feet. Defensively, he displayed clean glove work and a strong, accurate arm across the infield, reaching 86 mph. His solid mechanics and projectable power make him a promising two-way prospect with plenty of room for growth.

 

 

Tyke Daniels RHP / OF / Mountain Ridge, AZ / 2026

Tyke Daniels, a 2026 right-handed pitcher and outfielder from Mountain Ridge High School, was a standout performer at the recent scout day, impressing with both power and athleticism. At the plate, Daniels displayed a powerful swing, generating a max exit velocity of 96.8 mph and reaching a max distance of 359 feet, primarily driving balls to the pull side with his “short to it, long through it” bat path. He also showcased his speed with a 7.04-second 60-yard dash, rounding out his profile as a well-rounded and promising talent on both sides of the ball.

 

 

Ryan Baldwin C / OF / Sunrise Mountain, AZ / 2026

Ryan Baldwin, a 2026 catcher and outfielder from Sunrise Mountain High School, made a strong impression at Sunday’s scout day. Baldwin showcased his athletic, solid frame and a compact swing with a shoulder-height finish, generating an impressive 98.7 mph exit velocity with natural loft. His approach at the plate highlighted his potential for power. Defensively, Baldwin displayed a quick exchange behind the plate with pop times consistently between 1.95 and 2.0 seconds, emphasizing his agility and strength as a catcher. Baldwin’s dual abilities make him a promising follow in the 2026 class.

 

 

Easton Thomas OF / Sunrise Mountain, AZ / 2026

Easton Thomas, a 2026 outfielder and left-handed pitcher from Sunrise Mountain High School, showcased his skills during Sunday’s bullpen session, where he impressed with a lively fastball sitting at 86-87 mph and consistently filling up the zone. The lefty demonstrated an advanced feel for his changeup, which stood out as his go-to out pitch, maintaining consistent arm speed that contributed to a late, effective sink. Complementing his fastball and changeup, Thomas’s command and poise on the mound position him as a strong, versatile prospect to watch in the 2026 class.

 

 

Jack Masi SS / RHP / Liberty, AZ / 2028

Jack Masi, a 2028 two-way prospect from Liberty High School, is establishing himself as a top name to follow in his class, especially for his mound presence. The freshman right-hander’s fastball sat comfortably at 80-82 mph, topping out at 83, and he displayed impressive control within the zone. Masi’s over-the-top arm action and solid arm speed allow for good consistency and carry on his pitches. His arsenal includes a true 12/6 breaking ball that keeps hitters guessing, effectively paired with a slider that further amplifies his versatility and effectiveness. Masi’s skill set and command suggest strong potential as he continues to develop.
