On Sunday, October 27th, Prep Baseball Report Arizona hosted the Marucci Athletics/Sting/MLU Scout Day at the Willow Canyon High School in, Surprise AZ. The Scout Day events are a private event held for prospects in the 2029-2025 classes from the designated program the state of Arizona, giving the players the chance to showcase their skills in front of the PBR Arizona Staff using state-of-the-art technology on field.

Cameron Davidson SS / 2B / Willow Canyon, AZ / 2026Cam Davidson, an infielder from Willow Canyon High School, made a significant impression at last weekend's scout day, setting multiple high marks across key metrics. Davidson, an uncommitted junior, posted a standout 101 mph exit velocity, an 89 mph infield arm, and clocked a 6.7 in the 60-yard dash. Known for his quick, flat bat path, Davidson showcases a balanced approach at the plate, working heavily into his back leg to generate power. He consistently drives the ball to the big part of the field, with most of his power working to the pull side. His blend of speed, arm strength, and raw power makes him an exciting prospect to watch.

Troy Tewers 3B / RHP / Liberty, AZ / 2028Freshman Troy Tewers from Liberty High School turned heads at this weekend's scout day, emerging as one of the top defensive talents for his age in Arizona. Tewers boasts a strong, tall frame paired with a smooth glove that makes him a natural in the field, reinforcing his reputation as a standout defender. Jameson Mohler C / OF / Sandra Day O'Connor High School, AZ / 2028Jameson Mohler, a versatile catcher and outfielder from SD O'Connor High School in the 2028 class, impressed on both offense and defense during Sunday’s workout, particularly behind the plate. Mohler demonstrated a standout arm for his age, clocking in at 75 mph on throws with an efficient pop time ranging from 1.97 to 2.25. At the plate, he shows an easy right-handed swing with a smooth approach, consistently driving low line drives to the big part of the field during BP sessions. Easton Thomas OF / Sunrise Mountain, AZ / 2026Easton Thomas, a 2026 outfielder and left-handed pitcher from Sunrise Mountain High School, showcased his skills during Sunday’s bullpen session, where he impressed with a lively fastball sitting at 86-87 mph and consistently filling up the zone. The lefty demonstrated an advanced feel for his changeup, which stood out as his go-to out pitch, maintaining consistent arm speed that contributed to a late, effective sink. Complementing his fastball and changeup, Thomas’s command and poise on the mound position him as a strong, versatile prospect to watch in the 2026 class.

Jack Masi SS / RHP / Liberty, AZ / 2028Jack Masi, a 2028 two-way prospect from Liberty High School, is establishing himself as a top name to follow in his class, especially for his mound presence. The freshman right-hander’s fastball sat comfortably at 80-82 mph, topping out at 83, and he displayed impressive control within the zone. Masi’s over-the-top arm action and solid arm speed allow for good consistency and carry on his pitches. His arsenal includes a true 12/6 breaking ball that keeps hitters guessing, effectively paired with a slider that further amplifies his versatility and effectiveness.
