The Prep Baseball Junior Future Games is a premier showcase event where each Prep Baseball State assembles its own hand-selected team of top prospects from the 2028 and 2029 classes to compete in an exciting tournament format. This year’s event brought together some of the most talented young athletes, allowing them to display their skills on a national stage. Team Arizona, filled with standout players, made a significant impact throughout the competition, highlighting the depth of talent in the state. In this article, we will take a closer look at each of the prospects who participated for Team Arizona in this year's Junior Future Games, showcasing their performances and potential as they pave their way to future success in baseball.

Cooper LeRoy 1B / RHP / Mesquite High School, AZ / 2028

Cooper LeRoy, a right-handed pitcher and first baseman who will be attending Mesquite High School this fall, was a standout for Team Arizona at the Junior Future Games. LeRoy took the mound as the Game 1 starter, delivering two strong innings with a fastball touching 87 mph. He boasts a long, athletic frame with significant upside both at the plate and on the mound. Troy Tewers 3B / RHP / Liberty High School, AZ / 2028

Troy Tewers, who will be attending Liberty High School this fall, emerged as one of the top prospects from the Junior Future Games for Team Arizona. Kingston Sinner OF / RHP / Saguaro, AZ / 2028

Perhaps one of the most athletic prospects on the Junior Futures team for Team Arizona was outfielder Kingston Sinner. Sinner will be attending Saguaro High School this fall and is set to be a huge addition to the Sabercats' offense. Kingston is a high-level athlete with a strong arm from the outfield and above-average bat-to-ball skills at the plate. Look for Kingston to make an immediate impact at the plate for the Sabercats in 2025.

 

 

Conner Hansen OF / 1B / Saguaro , AZ / 2028

Outfielder and first baseman Conner Hansen was a standout prospect at this year’s Junior Future Games, representing Team Arizona. Hansen, who will be attending Saguaro High School this upcoming fall, joins a promising lineup alongside fellow top prospect Kingston Sinner. Hansen showcased a highly athletic frame and a crisp right-handed swing throughout the weekend. With an ultra-mature approach in the box, Hansen demonstrated his potential to be a high-level player in the Arizona high school landscape. Saguaro is poised to benefit greatly from the addition of both Sinner and Hansen, marking a significant boost for their program.

 

 

Brock White SS / 3B / Mountain View High School, AZ / 2028

Brock White, who joined Team Arizona at the Junior Future Games, did not disappoint with his performance. The soon-to-be Mountain View High School attendee made the start in Game 2 for Team Arizona and delivered an impressive outing, going 5 strong innings. White showcased his pitching prowess with a fastball that reached up to 83 mph, effectively controlling the game and demonstrating his potential on the mound. His performance was a highlight for Team Arizona, and he is expected to make a significant impact at Mountain View High School.

 

 

Jackson Leigh OF / RHP / Pinnacle High School, AZ / 2028

Jackson Leigh, who will be attending Pinnacle High School this fall, was a crucial contributor to Team Arizona's success at the Junior Future Games. Leigh's standout moment came in Game 2 against Illinois when he hit a bases-clearing double to center field, giving Team Arizona an early lead. His performance at the plate was matched by his high-level play in the outfield, where he made numerous impressive plays, including a run-saving diving catch. Tristan Cruz SS / C / Cienega High School, AZ / 2028

Tristan Cruz, set to attend Cienega High School this fall, made a significant impact for Team Arizona at the Junior Future Games. Known for his clutch performances, Cruz delivered multiple quality at-bats resulting in key RBIs throughout the weekend. Defensively, Cruz was a standout, demonstrating reliability and skill up the middle by consistently securing outs. Chase Fillman OF / LHP / Millennium, AZ / 2028

Chase Fillman, a left-handed pitcher and outfielder set to attend Millennium High School this fall, is a true 2-way prospect in the state of Arizona. Fillman boasts a strong left-handed swing with significant power potential, making him a formidable presence at the plate. On the mound, Fillman showcased his ability to command the strike zone during his outing in the first bracket play game for Team Arizona, with his fastball reaching up to 84 mph. Parker Spade C / 1B / VALLEY CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS, AZ / 2028

Russell Nelson RHP / OF / Casteel High School, AZ / 2029

Russell Nelson, a promising outfielder and right-handed pitcher in the 2029 class, made a significant impression at the Junior Future Games while representing Team Arizona. Set to attend Casteel High School following his 8th-grade year, Nelson is emerging as one of the top prospects to watch in his class.
