The Prep Baseball Future Games showcased an exceptional group of young prospects from the 2026 class in the state of Arizona, all of whom are uncommitted going into the event, leading to the August 1st contact period. Held annually, the Future Games is Prep Baseball's premier event, bringing together the top uncommitted prospects in the sophomore class heading into their junior year. This year, the event saw an unprecedented attendance of 425 college coaches, solidifying its status as the nation's leading uncommitted showcase. Zander Bratspis SS / Saguaro, AZ / 2026Rankings StateRank: 9 / POS: 2
Zander Bratspis, the #9 prospect in the state of Arizona from Saguaro High School, showcased his exceptional talent throughout the week at the Future Games. The middle infielder made a significant impact, hitting four doubles in his first two games for Team Arizona, which drew the attention of many scouts and coaches. Bratspis has a natural knack for finding the barrel and consistently putting together strong at-bats. Alain Gómez Gudino C / 3B / Saguaro, AZ / 2026Alain Gomez, the current #3 prospect in the state of Arizona, is arguably the top defender in the country at the catching position. At the Future Games, Gomez recorded the top pop time across the entire event, with a standout pop time of 1.74 during the workout portion. His exceptional skills behind the plate did not go unnoticed, and he is expected to receive significant attention from college coaches starting August 1. Offensively, Gomez is a switch hitter, with the left side being his dominant side. During the workout day in BP, Gomez put on an impressive show, launching numerous home runs over the right field wall from the left side. He continued to demonstrate his power in game 3 for Team Arizona by hitting a home run from the right side.

Devin Long RHP / OF / Chaparral High School, AZ / 2026Devin Long, the current #6 prospect in the state of Arizona and the #1 arm in the 2026 class, dominated in his outing at the 2024 Future Games. Long pitched 4 innings, tallying 8 strikeouts while allowing only 1 hit against some of the top uncommitted bats in the country. His outstanding performance earned him the Dicks Sporting Goods Player of the Game award. Throughout his 4 innings, Long consistently sat at 89-90 mph, topping at 91 mph, and effectively pounded the zone with a 4-pitch mix. With his skill set and command, Long has a true starter profile that extends well beyond his high school career.

As the leading hitter for a loaded Brophy team in his sophomore campaign, Castle is poised to be a sleeper prospect heading into his junior season.
