The 2024 High School season is approaching and it's that time of year to bring out our preseason previews. Coaches and players have been working non stop since the conclusion of the 2023 season in preparation for a highly talked about 2024 spring. Through preseason previews we look to give you an inside scoop on some of the most highly talked about teams going into the spring season. We will take you right up to the first pitch of this season with these team previews and we'll continue providing coverage throughout the Spring.

With a roster boasting nine returning starters and six pitchers, Brophy Prep is blending experience with fresh talent, setting the stage for a season full of promise.

Top Returning Players: Brophy Prep's roster is studded with top returning players across various positions. From Charlie Hazen (C) to Willie Cornejo-Farmer (1B), George Smith (2B), Jack Meissner (3B), Brandon Wirtz (SS), Matt Niezgodzki (LF), Jack Ryan (CF), and Trey Markham (RF), the Broncos showcase a well-rounded lineup. This extends to their formidable pitching staff, creating a versatile and dynamic team.

Preseason All-State Picks: Some of the top contenders for the Preseason All-State team, featuring Jack Meissner, Johnny Casale, Jack Lafflam, and Willie Cornejo-Farmer. These players are anticipated to elevate their performance and leave an indelible mark on the upcoming season.

Key Departures and Newcomers: In addition to notable departures such as JT Craig, who now graces the lineup of Army baseball, Brophy Prep bids farewell to James DeCremer, a right-handed pitcher and one of the top MLB prospects in the state last season. DeCremer is currently at Oregon State University, showcasing the Broncos' ability to cultivate talent that extends beyond high school.

On the flip side, the arrival of Benton Hickman, a newcomer to varsity, brings an exciting pitching arsenal that provides a glimpse into the Broncos' potential for growth and success.
