Arizona 2026 Class Rankings Update

The Prep Baseball Arizona staff has just released the updated prospect rankings for the 2026 class, unveiling a new Top 75 list of the most promising players in the state. After a summer filled with events, showcases, and in-depth scouting at games, the rankings reflect the top-tier talent that Arizona has to offer. From dominant pitchers to power-hitting sluggers and versatile fielders, this list captures the emerging stars who have made their mark and are poised to impact the future of baseball in Arizona. The Prep Baseball Arizona Top 75 rankings are a testament to the deep pool of talent in the 2026 class.

UNCOMMITTED SPOTLIGHTS

Alain Gómez Gudino C / 3B / Saguaro, AZ / 2026

Alain Gomez has quickly risen to become the #2 prospect in the state of Arizona and is widely regarded as one of the best defensive catchers in the nation. At the Future Games, he recorded the event's top pop time, clocking in at an impressive 1.74 seconds during the workout portion. His elite defensive abilities behind the plate have caught the attention of many and is expected to draw significant interest from college coaches this fall. Offensively, Gomez is a switch hitter, with the left side being his strongest. During the workout day of the Future Games, he put on a show in batting practice, launching multiple home runs over the right-field wall from the left side. He continued to showcase his power in game 3 for Team Arizona by hitting a home run from the right side.

 

 

Abram Sherrin SS / Liberty, AZ / 2026

Coming in at #6 in the updated Prep Baseball Arizona Rankings, Abram Sherrin is arguably the top 2-way prospect in the 2026 class. Sherrin excels both on the mound and at the plate. On the mound, he commands a heavy fastball in the low 90s, pairing it with a sharp slider for an effective mix. Defensively, Sherrin showcases a highly athletic glove, above-average footwork, and rhythm, all complemented by a strong arm. His standout performance at this summer’s Area Code Games has solidified his status as a highly sought-after prospect for college programs.

 

 

Jackson Weber SS / C / Horizon, AZ / 2026

Jackson Weber, the #5 prospect in the 2026 class, is a versatile utility player from Horizon High School who excels both behind the plate and up the middle. His ability to perform at a high level in multiple positions has made him a hot topic among college programs, especially with the new 34-man roster rule coming into effect. Weber’s adaptability and skill set make him a valuable asset, and his strong defensive abilities, coupled with his leadership on the field, position him as one of the top prospects in his class.

 

 

Zander Bratspis SS / Saguaro, AZ / 2026

Zander Bratspis, ranked as the #8 prospect in Arizona, has had one of the biggest summers among the 2026 class in the state. The Saguaro High School middle infielder made waves at the Future Games, where he hit four doubles in his first two games for Team Arizona, drawing significant attention from scouts and coaches. His standout performance earned him a spot on this summer's prestigious Area Code Games Underclass team. Bratspis has a natural ability to find the barrel and consistently puts together strong at-bats. Defensively, he showcased a reliable glove and smoothly handled plays up the middle. His high level of play and sharp baseball instincts solidify his status as a top prospect in the 2026 class.

 

 

Devin Long RHP / OF / Chaparral High School, AZ / 2026

Devin Long ranks as the #7 prospect in the state of Arizona and the top arm in the 2026 class in the new Prep Baseball Arizona rankings. Long had a standout summer, highlighted by a dominant performance at the 2024 Future Games. In his outing, Long pitched 4 innings, striking out 8 batters and allowing just 1 hit against some of the nation's top uncommitted talent. His impressive showing earned him the Dick's Sporting Goods Player of the Game award. Long consistently sat at 89-90 mph, topping out at 91 mph, while commanding the zone with an effective 4-pitch mix. His skill set and control give him a true starter's profile, projecting well beyond his high school years. This summer, Long also represented at the Area Code Games as one of the starting pitchers for the Reds.

 

 

Jet Berry SS / 2B / Queen Creek, AZ / 2026

Jet Berry has climbed into the top 10 of the new Prep Baseball Arizona Rankings for the 2026 class, securing the #10 spot and establishing himself as one of the most athletic prospects in the state. At this summer's Future Games, Berry's athleticism was on full display as he recorded a 36-inch vertical jump and ran an impressive 6.59-second 60-yard dash during the workout day. As a middle infielder, Berry showcases a quick first step, a natural feel for the glove, and a high baseball IQ. He’s also a natural leader with a winning mentality, which was evident in his key role in Queen Creek's 6A state title victory during the 2024 season. At the plate, Berry is a switch hitter with a natural ability to find the barrel, making him a well-rounded and highly promising prospect.

 

 

Jack Petroff 3B / 2B / Pinnacle, AZ / 2026

Jack Petroff, ranked as the #11 prospect in the updated 2026 class Prep Baseball Arizona Rankings, put his talents on full display at the 2024 Future Games. He set the tone in his first at-bat of the weekend, ripping a double to the right-center field wall for an RBI. As a true third baseman, Petroff exhibits excellent glove work and smooth, effortless footwork, solidifying his reputation as one of the top defensive players in the class. His performance at the Future Games has further established him as a prospect to watch at the next level. Offensively, Petroff has demonstrated the ability to hit for both average and power, and he made a statement at this summer's Area Code Games by turning on a mid-90s fastball for one of the loudest hits of the week.

 

 

Kanon Faseler OF / LHP / Horizon High School, AZ / 2026

Kanon Faseler, now ranked as the #20 prospect in Arizona for the 2026 class, made a strong impression during the workout portion of the 2024 Future Games. Faseler demonstrated his athleticism by running a sub-7.00 60-yard dash and showcased a smooth left-handed swing that was both quick and flat through the zone during BP. Known for playing the game with intensity, Faseler’s clean left-handed swing projects well, and he is expected to develop into a high-level hitter at the next level.

 

 

Vinnie Keck RHP / OF / Saguaro , AZ / 2026

Vinnie Keck, ranked as the #21 prospect in Arizona's updated 2026 class rankings, is a standout right-handed pitcher and outfielder from Saguaro High School. At the 2024 Future Games, Keck excelled on both sides of the ball, but his performance on the mound truly stood out. Over 3 innings, he consistently pounded the zone with clean mechanics and impressive balance, featuring a fastball in the mid to upper 80s. As Keck continues to add strength and size, he’s on track to become one of the most exciting arms to watch in Arizona. A top 2-way prospect, Keck has shown the ability to make an impact both on the mound and at the plate.

 

 

Grady Pratt 3B / OF / Highland, AZ / 2026

Ranked as the #17 prospect in Arizona for the 2026 class, Pratt made a strong impression at the Pre Season All State event this past spring, showcasing a high-level left-handed swing with impressive physicality. Following a strong spring season and a big summer, Pratt has established himself as a hitter with notable power from the left side and a quality contact tool. Defensively, Pratt offers versatility, with the ability to play both corner infield positions as well as in the outfield, making him a well-rounded and promising prospect.
