Boras Classic 3/14-3/17/18

Carson Tucker, 2020, SS, Mountain Pointe HS
Having always shown the skills and actions of an elite prospect, Tucker's body and athleticism are starting to catch up to his always advanced skill set. On this day he easily made range plays to both sides at SS, showing enough arm to likely stick at SS. Offensively the improvements were event more noticeable as he's begun to add strength to his frame and recorded multiple extra base hits. Tucker show a relaxed, easy rhythm in the box and very loose wrists that make him easy to dream on offensively. While it's not likely Tucker is ever a plus runner, it's easy to see it becoming an average tool when he finishes growing into his body.

Nick Wallerstedt, 2019, OF/RHP, Mountain Pointe HS
An elite multi-sport athlete, Wallerstedt possesses an exiting array of physical tools. Already a plus runner (4.21 down the line), he shows a 50 arm from the outfield and while raw offensively shows the tools to hit in the future with continued development. During I/O he looks like the best player and athlete on the field. There is some rigidity to his swing and the timing isn't quite there yet, but we are looking at a potential high-end prospect if/when he dedicates himself to baseball and gets more game reps against quality competition.

Sam Clow, 2018, RHP, Red Mountain HS
Dixie State signee. Clow works as the closer for Red Mountain and shows the type of aggressive, high intent delivery fitting of the role. There is some head violence through release, but he does a solid job of repeating his delivery and shows a clean arm action from a 3/4 slot. He worked 84-84 with his fastball on this day, showing significant late run to the arm side. Slow also mixed in a curveball and changeup, both at 75 mph with the changeup looking like his most advanced secondary offering.
