Arizona Staff

Nine made the list of the Top-500 seniors in the country, according to the PBR scouting staff. The overall list was released earlier this month, and of the nine that made the list, four made significant jumps while two have entered the rankings since the previous release.

RISERS:

Ronan Kopp, the highest ranked in Arizona, comes in at No. 60 and hails from Scottsdale Christian Academy. The long left-handed hurler was recently seen at the Area Code Games by National Supervisor Nathan Rode. He was seen up to 92 mph at the event, spinning a 71-75 mph curveball with late break. SCOUTING REPORT

8/6/19 - LHP Ronan Kopp (Scottsdale Christian Academy, AZ) started for the Reds and logged two innings, allowing two runs on two hits and two walks while striking out three. The first inning was a breeze, as he struck out two in the inning. He started out at 89-92, dipping to 87-90 in the second. He has a long, loose frame and works quickly, pitching with a high leg kick and high-3/4 slot. He can spin a curveball from 71-75 with 1/7 shape and late break. He also throws a firmer slider in the high 70s to low 80s with more tilt. Kopp was able to get a lot of swings and misses on his fastball as well.
