PBR Future Games is set for July 28th- Aug 1st
Prep Baseball Report's one-of-a-kind event will feature the best uncommitted 2023 prospects and select 2024 prospects from our 40-plus state coverage area. The Future Games will take place on July 28th through August 1st at LakePoint Sports in Cartersville, GA.
The Future Games is the premier summer scouting event for Class of 2023 prospects and select 2024 prospects. In a typical year, more than 320 college coaches from all over the country are in attendance. The event is huge draw for college with many of the top uncommitted players from across the country in attendance. The Prep Baseball Report services are also subscribed by more than 800 colleges and pro scouts. Last year, due to COVID, scouts weren't able to be in attendance but they were able to follow along through our online streaming platform that is hooked up on every field at this premier facility.
Players will also receive maximum visibility from college coaches all over the country, in addition to being promoted through the Prep Baseball Report multimedia platforms.
Each state team will play three games. Day 1, all position players will be put through a showcase workout in which they will run 60s, take batting practice and be evaluated at their primary position. The following days players will compete in live game setting vs teams & top players from other states.
2023 RHP Bryce McKnight from Desert Vista joins Team Arizona for the 2020 PBR Future Games.
2023 RHP Bryce McKnight (Desert Vista)- McKnight’s performance at our Preseason ID back in February helped him earn a spot in this year’s PBR Future Games as a member of Team Arizona. He has made big strides over the last year, adding good strength to a lean, athletic frame, which has translated to the mound. He threw from an athletic delivery that got stronger over the course of the session. He showed a solid three-pitch mix with solid separation of pitches while pounding the zone for strikes. His fastball sat 84-86, topping out at 88 with ride through the zone. The slider showed sweeping action with 8:15 tilt and 18 inches of horizontal movement. The changeup showed as a plus potential pitch with side spin creating sink at 75-76. McKnight should be in for a breakout spring for the Thunder and we received reports that he had some similar stuff to open his season.
