While Weaver hasn’t put it all together at Grand Canyon, OPS-ing .683 over his first 79 games, scouts continue to see upside in his tools and overall profile. The Phoenix, Ariz. native has taken a step forward in 2021, showing a bit more pop as well as more consistency in his third WAC campaign. Weaver’s raw power has started to emerge as he’s become more aggressive at the plate, and the overall quality of his contact continues to trend in the right direction. At 5-feet-11, 185 pounds, Weaver is a good athlete capable of posting average run times down the line. He’s a versatile defender on the dirt who has experience at shortstop, third and second base.
