AZ Summer Review: Statistical Analyisis

Brett Thorney
State Scouting Director

Over the last couple months, PBR Arizona has had a chance to hold several events including our Top Prospect Games at the 2021, 2022, & 2023 grad classes as well as our Future Games. Our scouting staff also spent many hours covering outside game & tournament action. We have had the chance to see many quality prospects during this time with many players starting to jump on scene. Yesterday, we had a chance to wrap up our Summer showcase schedule with our Arizona Summer Review. This is an annual event that gives prospects the chance to show what improvements they have made from their summer seasons. Once again, we were able see many new faces up close as well as get updates on players that we have seen in the past. There were several players will solid performances on the day that one should pay attention to moving forward.

The Arizona Summer Review took place on Sunday, August 16th at Shadow Ridge High School in Surprise, AZ. This event featured over 50 prospects from the 2021-2024 grad classes from all across the state of Arizona. We had players in attendance from Phoenix, Prescott, Yuma, Tucson, Nogales and even from New Mexico & California. This event has become a popular event as summer seasons wrap up going into fall baseball.

Today, we begin our post event coverage by taking a look at the top five performers at each statistical category. Be sure to stay tuned over the next few weeks for more post-event coverage.
