2026/2027 Top Prospect Games: Quick Hits

On Tuesday June 6-7, Prep Baseball Report Arizona hosted the Underclass Top Prospect Games at Legacy Sports Complex. The Top Prospect games is an invite only event to all prospects in the 2027-2026 classes. Giving the players the chance to showcase their skills in front of the PBR Arizona Staff using state-of-the-art technology on field.
Today, we’ll start by giving you the Top Performers from the Top Prospect Games, which we like to call Quick Hits. In Quick Hits you will be able to see how these players tested and were evaluated by the PBR Arizona Staff throughout the showcase. Follow us on Twitter and Instagram for more post event coverage.
Devin Long RHP / OF / Chaparral, AZ / 2026Devin Long the #4 ranked prospect in the state of Arizona for the 2026 class was a standout in this weeks Top Prospect games. During the BP portion of the day Long posted the second highest EV of the event at 96.8 driving balls to the middle and pull side. Long has a tall strong build at 6-foot-3 180 pounds with loads of athleticism upside. On the mound Long started for team Red dominating the lower half of the zone with a fastball sitting 87-89 and a sharp slider working 74-77 at 2200+ spin. Long is a high follow for the Arizona Staff as we go into the start of the summer season.

Jack Petroff 3B / SS / Pinnacle, AZ / 2026With the big swing of the day at the plate launching a ball over the left field wall during the game play portion of the event was right handed hitter and left side infielder Jack Petroff. Petroff was a standout during the workout portion Tuesday night showing quiet quick feet up the middle, a confident glove and strong arm across the infield. At the plate Petroff marked the highest EV of the event at 97.5 with a tall athletic swing that works flat through the zone with power to the pull side.

Zander Bratspis SS / 2B / Saguaro , AZ / 2026Rankings StateRank: 10 / POS: 4
Zander Bratspis was an all around standout and one of the more complete prospects to attend this years underclass Top Prospect games. In the field Bratspis continues to show a highly athletic glove in the field with a quick first step. At the plate Bratspis has a mature approach to the middle of the field with a direct path showing barrel control to all fields.

Logan Reber C / RHP / Casteel, AZ / 2026Rankings StateRank: 15 / POS: 3
The #15 prospect in the 2026 class made some head moves this week especially behind the dish. In the defensive portion of the day Reber had the top pop times at 1.90-1.97 with a strong accurate arm. At the plate Reber has long levers with a flat to slightly uphill path producing hard contact to the middle and pull side of the field. Reber is a high follow and one of the top uncommitted prospects in the 2026 class.

Brayden Hoyler SS / RHP / Undecided , AZ / 2027The top 2027 prospect to catch the eye of the Arizona staff was middle infielder and future Canyon Del Oro Dorado Brayden Hoyler. Hoyler posses an athletic projectable frame at 6-foot 150 pounds with plenty of room for size and strength to come. At the plate Hoyler worked primarily to the middle part of the field with a flat short to it long through it path with strong contact at 89.5 EV. We look forward to following Hoyler this summer and into his freshman season at CDO.

Jaxen Maxey OF / Corona Del Sol, AZ / 2026Rankings StateRank: 12 / POS: 5
The recent Washington Husky commit joined us for the Top Prospect games this summer and had the top velocity of the day in the outfield at 87 mph. At the plate Maxey has a quiet load with a coil in the mid section with consistent hard contact to the middle of the field. The 6-foot-1 145 pound prospect is a high follow for the Arizona staff with loads up upside for added size and strength.

Hayden Leach C / 3B / Gilbert, AZ / 2026The uncommitted catcher and corner infielder out of Gilbert high school was a standout at this summers Top Prospect Games with a 2.0-2.05 pop time behind the plate. At the plate Leach has a quick stroke that works at a direct path to the baseball, with the ability to go the other way. Leach has a strong athletic build at 5-foot-10 160 pounds with more strength to come.
