Miller who is verbally committed to attend Ohio State University was good early and then struggled some with command in the middle innings. Rasmussen was on cruise control the whole way until Hutchinson’s last inning rally where they had the game winning run-on base but came up just short. Rasmussen was sitting 84-86 T87 and his breaking ball was 71-73. His ability to throw both pitches for strikes was how he was able to make it the distance and only give up 1 run
+ The Tigers offense was powered by Minnesota-Duluth commit Oran Hinkle who roped a ball into left field for a 2 RBI single that extended Delano’s lead to 3 runs.
+ For Hutchinson, Tate Renning hit a couple balls hard and had a nice drag bunt to start a rally for the tigers but eventually fell just short of a comeback in the 7th inning

They have had quiet the year and last night was no different. 2022 Dayne McNaughton who is a Northern State commit took the mound for the Hawks. The two-way player catches when he doesn’t pitch and has been a consistent player for the squad all year. McNaughton was 82-84 mph topping at 85 mph. Challenging hitters all night with the fastball and was consistently around the zone with a two-pitch mix, the other being a 68-70 mph breaking ball.

Berry, who is a 2023 graduate, showed good feel for three pitches. His fastball was 80-82 mph that topped 83 mph, a 67-68 mph curveball, and 73-74 mph change-up. 2024 grad Ritter was consistently around the zone.
