ALBERTVILLE, AL - The inaugural Yellowhammer State Games was held on Tuesday, June 18th and Wednesday, June 19th at Sand Mountain Park in Albertville, AL. This event was the premier invite-only event of the summer that consisted of some of the top prospects from the 2025-2028 classes. These players went through extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman and Blast Motion, ran the 60-yard dash using Swift Performance, and much more. Pitchers were able to throw during a gameplay setting with a monitored pitch count and were able to get numbers and metrics off of our Trackman unit, such as pitch velocity, spin rate, horizontal & vertical movement & much more. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing this week.

Hudson Smith, James Clemens High School (AL), 2027
Positional Profile: C/SS
Body: 5-9, 147.1-pounds. Lean, athletic body. More room for added size.
Hit: RHH. Open stance, feet are set narrow. Some tilt in the bat path. Definite middle of the field approach. 62.5 mph bat speed with 12 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 86 max exit velocity, averaged 80.8 mph. 318’ max distance.
Arm: RH. C - 72.00 mph. Higher 3/4 slot, accuracy to the 2B bag.

Jaylen Crocker, AMERICAN CHRISTIAN ACADEMY (AL), 2026
Positional Profile: C/RHP
Body: 6-2, 188.3-pounds. Long limbed, proportional. Athletic.
Hit: RHH. Slight crouch in the stance, hands set back in the stance. Tilted bat path, Juice to both gaps. Violence in the bat path. 68.1 mph bat speed with 5 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 97 max exit velocity, averaged 83.7 mph. 331’ max distance.
Arm: RH. C - 74.00 mph. Quick transfer, high slot. Solid arm strength.
Defense: 1.97-2.06 pop times. Quiet receiver, does a solid job on the borderline strike down in the zone.

Kaden Walters, Sardis High School (AL), 2027
Positional Profile: C/1B
Body: 5-9, 167.3-pounds. Higher waisted, lean and athletic body.
Hit: LHH. Starts slightly open with a toe-tap trigger. Shows solid barrel discipline, handles the bat to all fields. 65.1 mph bat speed with 9 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 89 max exit velocity, averaged 73.8 mph. 308’ max distance.
Arm: RH. C - 71.00 mph. Developing arm strength from a high 3/4 slot.
Defense: 2.13-2.21 pop times. Showed the ability to steal strikes for his pitcher. Natural actions on the ball in the dirt.

Corbin Driskell, Southside (AL), 2025
Positional Profile: C/RHP
Body: 6-0, 217.2-pounds. Strong look to the frame, well developed lower half.
Hit: RHH. Slightly open stance. Strength in the hands, looseness. Carry and backspin to the pullside. 72.5 mph bat speed with 12 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 98 max exit velocity, averaged 83.7 mph. 238’ max distance.
Arm: RH. C - 76.00 mph. Present arm strength, throws stayed on line to the 2B bag.

Hit: SH. Narrow setup with the feet, slightly open. Definite middle of the field, consistent line drives back up the middle. 72.2 mph bat speed with 15 G’s of rotational acceleration.

Arm: RH. C - 79.00 mph. Arm strength has continued to evolve at each, super quick transfer.
Defense: 1.91-2.03 pop times. Advanced defensive actions, can extend the plate (strike zone) for his pitchers.

John Stowers, St. Paul's Episcopal (AL), 2026 Auburn
Positional Profile: C/3B
Body: 5-11, 194.7-pounds. Athletic and lean frame, proportional. More room for added size.
Hit: LHH. High leg kick trigger, feet are balanced. Major juice to both gaps from a tilted swing path. Creates backspin and carry. 69.5 mph bat speed with 20 G’s of rotational acceleration.

Hit: RHH. Balanced and athletic stance. Shows solid barrel discipline, handles the barrel to all fields. has some carry to the pullside. 70.3 mph bat speed with 23 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 92 max exit velocity, averaged 81.8 mph. 325’ max distance.
Arm: RH. C - 78.00 mph. Shorter arm action, throws stay on line with carry.
Defense: 1.87-1.94 pop times. Quiet receiver, doesn't try to do too much. Showed the ability to "steal" strikes for his pitcher in gameplay.

Brue Milner, Tallassee High School (AL), 2027
Positional Profile: C/1B
Body: 5-10, 208.1-pounds. Proportional frame, strong bodied build.
Hit: RHH. Narrow with the feet. Compact, shorter approach with carry to both gaps. Consistent loud barrels. 75.1 mph bat speed with 27 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 96 max exit velocity, averaged 87.3 mph. 370’ max distance.
Arm: RH. C - 77.00 mph. Developing arm strength. Higher slot with a quick transfer.
Defense: 1.96-2.19 pop times. Looseness in the hips, sets up well behind the plate. Easy, clean actions receiving.

Will Langston, Vestavia Hills High School (AL), 2025

Body: 6-2, 200.6-pounds. Longer, lean body. Strong look to the lower half.
Hit: RHH. Open stance with the feet; narrow. Creates torque in the lower half. Uphill path with pull side carry. 67.9 mph bat speed with 11 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 97 max exit velocity, averaged 83 mph. 320’ max distance.
Arm: RH. C - 73.00 mph. Arm strength has evolved with carry on throws to the 2B back. Accurate.
Defense: 1.93-2.06 pop times. Does a nice job "sticking" the borderline low strike. Showed the ability to block balls in the dirt both ways.

Nicholas Youngblood, Clay-Chalkville (AL), 2025
Positional Profile: C/2B
Body: 5-9, 162.5-pounds. Athletic frame, lean. More room to add to the frame.
Hit: RHH. Slightly open with the feet, hands set back in the stance. Present strength in the hands with some tilt in the bat path. 70.8 mph bat speed with 11 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 96 max exit velocity, averaged 83.7 mph. 349’ max distance.
Arm: RH. C - 72.00 mph. Quicker transfer out of the mitt with a quicker 3/4 arm slot.

Positional Profile: C/3B
Body: 5-9, 183.6-pounds. Stronger look to the frame, athletic. Proportional.
Hit: RHH. Slightly open with the feet, hands set back in the stance. Stays through contact well. Consistent line drives back up the middle. 71.6 mph bat speed with 21 G’s of rotational acceleration.

Arm: RH. C - 68.00 mph. Accurate throws to the bag, transfer has progressed of recent.
Defense: 2.13-2.30 pop times. Easily blocked balls in the dirt while also showing the ability to steal strikes for his pitchers.

Ty LeMay, Hartselle High School (AL), 2028
Positional Profile: C/1B
Body: 5-9, 189.6-pounds. Strong body, physical look to lower half.
Hit: RHH. Balanced stance, stays in the lower half. Middle of the field approach from a mostly flat bat path. 70.1 mph bat speed with 16 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 90 max exit velocity, averaged 76.7 mph. 304’ max distance.
Arm: RH. C - 75.00 mph. Has some carry on throws to 2B from a higher 3/4 slot.
Defense: 2.16-2.17 pop times. Continues to progress defensively. Looked good sticking the borderline strike at the bottom of the zone.

Jarron Meredith, West Limestone High School (AL), 2025
Positional Profile: C/3B
Body: 5-10, 185.4-pounds. Strong build, proportional throughout. Athletic.
Hit: RHH. Simple operation on the front side with no pre pitch movement. Handles the barrel to all fields, multiple line drives to both sides. 64.1 mph bat speed with 13 G’s of rotational acceleration.
