SARALAND, AL - The South AL Preseason All-State was held on Sunday, January 7th at Saraland High School in Saraland, AL. This event was an invite-only event that consisted of some of the top prospects from the 2024-2028 classes. These players went through extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman and Blast Motion, ran the 60 yard dash using Swift Performance, and much more. Pitchers were able to throw in simulated bullpens during the workout and were able to get numbers and metrics off of our Trackman unit, such as pitch velocity, spin rate, horizontal & vertical movement & much more. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing on Sunday.

Today we wrap up our coverage of the event by taking a look at all of the pitchers that were present. 

Dylan Ackerman, Daphne (AL), 2025
Positional Profile: 1B/RHP
Body: 6-1, 198-pounds. Athletic, proportional body. Stronger look to the lower half.
Delivery: Hybrid set, easy mover down the mound. Controlled.
Arm Action: RH. Mid 3/4 arm slot.
FB: T81, 79-81 mph. Works down in the zone, both sides of the plate. T2096, 1895 average rpm.
SL: 73-75 mph. Hard, sweeping shape. T2177, 2140 average rpm.

Aaron Bailey, McAdory (AL), 2026
Positional Profile: 3B/OF
Body: 6-3, 195-pounds. Longer limed body, leaner and athletic.
Delivery: Controlled and smooth delivery. Repeats well.
Arm Action: RH. Over the top arm slot, higher arm action.
FB: T86, 84-86 mph. Commanded the lower half showing natural sink. T1965, 1931 average rpm.

Delivery: Worked exclusively from the stretch.

Delivery: Tall and fall type delivery. Solid 3-pitch mix.
Arm Action: RH. Higher 3/4 slot.
