SARALAND, AL - The South AL Preseason All-State was held on Sunday, January 7th at Saraland High School in Saraland, AL. This event was an invite-only event that consisted of some of the top prospects from the 2024-2028 classes. These players went through extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman and Blast Motion, ran the 60 yard dash using Swift Performance, and much more. Pitchers were able to throw in simulated bullpens during the workout and were able to get numbers and metrics off of our Trackman unit, such as pitch velocity, spin rate, horizontal & vertical movement & much more. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing on Sunday.

Continuing off our post-event coverage for this event, we take a look at all of the outfielders that were at the event. Keep checking back over the next few days as we will continue to release positional scouting reports on every player at the event. 

Manning Amorde, UMS-Wright (AL), 2027
Positional Profile: OF/LHP
Body: 6-0, 170-pounds. Leaner and athletic, proportional build. More room to add size.
Hit: LHH. Slightly open set up, lower hand set. Smaller leg lift to start the swing, occasional lift, developing power from left side. 68.8 mph bat speed with 11 G’s of rotational acceleration.

Jack Blanchard, Daphne (AL), 2026
Positional Profile: OF/RHP
Body: 5-11, 165-pounds. Longer body, leaner and athletic.
Hit: RHH. Even stance. Shorter and compact strokes from right side, smaller leg lift. Developing power. 68.4 mph bat speed with 18 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 88 max exit velocity, averaged 81.4 mph. 280’ max distance.
Arm: RH. OF - 80.00 mph. Longer arm, 3/4 slot.
Defense: Covers ground well, solid glove presentation.

Noah Cain, Bayside Academy (AL), 2026
Positional Profile: OF/2B
Body: 5-9, 155-pounds. Leaner and athletic body, can continue to fill out the frame.
Hit: LHH. Open stance with a higher hand set. Mid-high leg lift, developing power from the left side. Uses the middle of the field during BP round. 66.4 mph bat speed with 10 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 84 max exit velocity, averaged 77.5 mph. 264’ max distance.
Arm: RH. OF - 82.00 mph. Developing arm strength, short arm action.
Defense: Clean when fielding, good glove presentation.

Maddox Eady, Daphne (AL), 2025
Positional Profile: OF/SS
Body: 6-1, 163-pounds. Leaner and longer limbed, proportional.
Hit: RHH. Slightly open stance, lower hand set. Quick hands, uphill path. Shows signs of present pop from the right side. Works middle and pull side. 71.4 mph bat speed with 21 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 92 max exit velocity, averaged 83.1 mph. 340’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 83.00 mph. OF - 77.00 mph. Glove pat into the throw, shorter arm.
